Also a look at the critical combo system.

Lots of good KOFXII info from the game’s premiere event this weekend. The final 6 characters from the previously announced 20-man roster were unveiled: Goro, Clark, Joe, Sie, Chin, and Duo Lon. Overall, it seems like a pretty standard cast with the usual fan favorites (not that it’s a bad thing). It is notable that Elizabeth, who’s been featured on an old KOFXII flyer is absent from the cast. Are we due for some more surprises, or did they just decide to drop her due to the lack of story in this installment? I’ve linked some gameplay videos (along with art of the new characters) to the forums for those of you who hasn’t seen them yet. The linked videos regrettably has no sound, but there’s also a 20 minute video on Nico Nico Douga that was uploaded that does. (more…)

Creation Kit coming soon with DLC to follow.

“We’ve always seen the original world of Fallout 3 as a foundation for even more content. Some created by us, and a lot more created by users,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s fun to create your own character, but it can be equally fun to create your own adventures. We can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.” (more…)

Now with prices (and slightly updated)!

Amazon released prices and pictures of the SFIV peripherals on their site for pre-orders! Some changes were made since we’ve last seen them, but they all seem to be good ones (except the price). The FightPads has ditched the Neo Geo-esque “click sticks” in favor of a more traditional d-pad. While I think the click stick would have been a lot more interesting, more people are likely to be happier with this change; especially with the d-pad being made to be close to the awesome Sega Saturn controller. The FightPads will retail for $40 with (currently) 5 different character editions (Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Chun-Li, Blanka). Expect the other characters to be represented later down the line, too. Xbox shakedown, Eidos shenanigans, and more.

Monday: Do you enjoy Fallout 3, but sometimes find yourself a bit overwhelmed by the sheer largeness of it all?  Frustrated by the absolute uselessness of the in-game map system?  Planet Fallout is here to help.  Using Google Maps technology, these kind souls have put together a tool that should serve you quite well as you see the Good Fight through to the end.  A very similar setup was seen earlier this year with Grand Theft Auto IV, so if you’ve used that, you know what to expect. Something completely different.

Instead of taking us on a tour of another arcade, the folks over at Press Start Comic took a trip back to Tokyo Game Action (featured on the 1st episode of Arcade Hunters) for some karaoke action. Too bad I couldn’t make it at the time or I may have mustered up some courage and bring you all my horrible rendition of Ai Wo Torimodose!! from Hokuto no Ken. YOU WA SHOCK!

Arcade Hunters will go back to their “regular” episodes when the next one airs in 2 weeks. Until then, check out the older episodes if you haven’t yet.
