Get ready for the next battle on Oct. 27th!

In a move that will surely enduce some envy to the Madcatz Fightstick-loving crowd, the contents of the Tekken 6 Limited Edition bundle for PS3 and Xbox 360 is finally revealed! An artbook is included in the package, but the real star of the LE is Hori’s new wireless limited edition arcade stick! This came as a huge surprise to me as I thought Hori will release their sticks in their Real Arcade Pro or Fighting Stick/EX2-styled cases till the end of time.

Look for Tekken 6 on store shelves on October 27th. Customers who reserved the game at Gamestop will also receive a Tekken 6 desk calendar and the Samurai Pack bonus DLC which includes special nobori (japanese war flags) as universal items for each character and a special costume for Yoshimitsu inspired by Penny-Arcade’s Cardboard Tube Samurai character.

It’s like porn… for nerds!

As if I wasn’t already excited enough about Madcatz’s Street Fighter IV line of arcade sticks, Markman had to go and show us an unboxing video of the Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick: Tournament Edition. All I have to say is that that thing is BEAUTIFUL! One thing of note is that there is a lack of wires on the stick when it was finally lifted out of the package in the video. Did it suddenly become wireless on us or is there a hidden compartment that houses the wires? The official unveiling of the sticks will be at CES in January so I guess we’ll have to wait till then. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go change my pants.

Now with prices (and slightly updated)!

Amazon released prices and pictures of the SFIV peripherals on their site for pre-orders! Some changes were made since we’ve last seen them, but they all seem to be good ones (except the price). The FightPads has ditched the Neo Geo-esque “click sticks” in favor of a more traditional d-pad. While I think the click stick would have been a lot more interesting, more people are likely to be happier with this change; especially with the d-pad being made to be close to the awesome Sega Saturn controller. The FightPads will retail for $40 with (currently) 5 different character editions (Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Chun-Li, Blanka). Expect the other characters to be represented later down the line, too. Fallout 3, Wii Music, and more.

Monday: A couple weeks ago, Bethesda requested that any and all Fallout 3 trailers be pulled, with the implication that pressure from the ESRB was the concern.  Said trailers created quite a stir due to their depiction of several Washington landmarks as they might appear after a nuclear attack.  While the images were certainly intense, they were far from gratuitous, and certainly appropriate for a game that, well, takes place in Washington after a nuclear attack.  In their most recent roundtable, the gentlemen at GameTrailers share their rather colorful thoughts on the matter.  You have to skip to the last few minutes of the clip, but their accusations of the organization’s heavy-handedness are absolutely worth a listen. Another batch of the usual Hori sticks with different art.

Capcom’s Official Japanese Street Fighter IV website was updated with some SFIV-branded arcade sticks for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 made by Hori. Pure speculation by my part, but it’s safe to assume that the Playstation 3 stick will be a Hori Real Arcade Pro featuring an arcade quality Sanwa-produced joystick and Hori buttons due to the stick’s form factor, button layout, and pricing (9800 yen). Xbox 360 owners definitely got the short end of the deal with another decent (but not as awesome as an HRAP) EX2 stick with different artwork. Another reason for 360 owners (heck, probably even PS3 users) to consider America’s official SFIV sticks made by Madcatz.
