New package to deliver 160GB of storage. What the…

The developers are certainly getting a kick out of introducing new hardware bundles or some type of “enhancements” to keep that cash cow working overtime. Among today’s news to emerge from the Leipzig Games Convention, Sony announced plans to release another bundle based upon the highly successful Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Only this time, the PS3 unit will deliver a whopping 160GBs. No, that wasn’t a typo.

Folks, what could you POSSIBLY do with all that space? (Well, besides downloading tons of music and downloadable content.)

Consumers who purchase the bundle will receive a copy of Uncharted, a Dualshock 3 wireless controller, a voucher for PAIN and a 160GB PS3 unit. The bundle will go on sale this November, joining the existing 80GB console available in stores.

Call it a hunch, but at the rate things have been progressing, I wouldn’t be surprised if a 200GB bundle emerges before Spring 2009. You heard it here first.
