He's probably thinking "how the fuck do these people play this game when the audio and video is so far off?"

The full track list for the Queen pack, via Kotaku:
Quote:
Another One Bites the Dust
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
One Vision
Fat Bottomed Girls
I Want It All
I Want to Break Free
Killer Queen
Somebody to Love
Tie Your Mother Down
Under Pressure
|
I'm downright floored by the omission of Don't Stop Me Now (I'd trade I Want To Break Free or Tie Your Mother Down for it), but otherwise very happy with this. And hey, they've gotta save some for RB3, amirite?

I've played around with the triple cymbal set a bit. I like it a lot. Great response and I haven't noticed any note-dropping. It's such a simple upgrade but it makes a world of difference in the overall fun factor of playing. Just the fact that I can smash that green cymbal instead of reaching for the pad is a game-changer.
A+ would recommend to a friend. Although they pretty much double the assembly time of the drums.

Hmm, might pick it up in the coming months. I get a weird rattle from my set when I hit the red pad, I probably just need to take it apart and put it back together.

Depends on the song.
Nine Inch Nails had a few piano parts that were transcribed to guitar, but Boston and Deep Purple kept their keyboard stuff out of the game.

You know, I thought that Harmonix would only get away with The Beatles Rock Band as a single band game because it was The Beatles.
This pretty much proves that wrong. The Special Edition better come with a killer moustache and suspenders.

The only way it's going to happen is like that AC/DC pack, a bunch of Queen songs in the standard RB engine. Queen may have plenty of hits but they hardly have a history of super-iconic appearances that the casualest of their fans would recognize, unlike the Beatles. They wouldn't warrant building a totally new game.

If you can't grow Freddie's mustache, you're not allowed to sing his parts.

Absolutely INSANE deal:

That's cheap enough that I'm grabbing it and having it shipped over to me by my parents.

Not to mention how horrible all RB guitars are. RB software + GH hardware = only way to play.

RB2 Drums + Cymbals and GH3 Wireless Guitar = only way to play
The drums + cymbals work on both Rock Band and World Tour (only on 360 though)

Thing is, getting Rock Band 2 Drums would cost me upwards of $350 with the shipping.
With this deal I'll get Rock Band 1 and 2 for less than $200.

Im pretty sure RB2 bundle is only $100 at gamestop, the price keeps fluctuating since the release of The Beatles RB, but its down again before the holiday season that im sure theyll spike up.
edit:
Yup, $99
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=71887
and you can get RB1 for like $5 now adays. I almost wanted to jump on this deal, but id ont know where i would get rid of my RB1 equipment and get rid of that RB2 disc. Gamestop wont take instruments anymore, and will only give $5 for the RB2 disc. Gamecrazy here just closed down all their stores.

I call a small bit of bullshit on Lego Rock Band. The song list reminds me of one of the good, ol' USA DDR mixes from back in the day both in weird song choices and quantity. 45 songs? $10 to export them to RB2 AND you have to use the unique code in the manual to do it? Rent-buying protected then, I guess.
I guess it is only $50 instead of $60. It also does a damn good job of being the "family friendly" version of the game.
But... Ghostbusters...

Give it time; shit will be down to $20-$30 like all these other music games after a few months pass by and the next version comes out.
Music games = the new sports games.

Its a chain but not a biggie like Blockbuster. My GF works part time there so we get all prerelease movies and games free until the actual release day. She kept the code for me when she brought Lego home.

Harmonix sent me Lego Rock Band. The soundtrack is really all over the place, more than any music game I've played yet, but I like most of it, and it's hard to fault a game with a Lego Freddy Mercury, complete with chest hair. Still, no online and I swear it's blocking some of my DLC. The crap cover of Heroes shows up for Bowie, as well as Suff City from RB1, but no Moonage Daydream. Also, unlock just to buy is bullshit. No kid wants to do that.

It does block some DLC. It's trying to be the Rock Band: Kid Filter Edition, I suppose. Honestly, I don't see that as being a bad thing.
