Games Magazine

Did anybody see this mag yet?
It is a U.K. mag that looks and reads alot like Edge.
The reviews are also like Edge's.
They gave Contra SS a 5 out of 10 for being too old school yet still say it is a solid game.
I like the retro section it's huge!
Over all it is worth a look.

I saw it last week. The retro section is nice (it's actually an entirely seperate magazine jammed into a bigger one) but, like most UK magazines, it's pretty sleazy and ugly looking.

If you're talking about the mag I think you're talking about I got it a couple weeks ago. I think it's actually called "gamesTM". Ever since the good old day's when NextGen was still a great mag I've been looking for a good multiplatorm mag and really the only thing around is EGM. Looks like a really good layout and I like how they have reports from here in the US and Japan. The reviews seem ok but hopefully the local Hasting's store will get the next issue so I can see how this mag turns out.

I'm curious about this mag. I saw a reference to it in another British mag and it looked interesting. I'm especially keen on checking out the retro section.

gamesTM is complete cack. The only games magazine worth buying in the UK is Edge.

Sadly issue 2 was extremely childish by ruining games with random spoilers. I was just flicking through the magazine and accidently got to a feature in game endings, thus spoiling a couple of games for me. Their HOTD3 review also had a huge screenshot of the last boss. I won't be buying it again.
