Twinbee side scroller?
I remember reading about this a while ago in some mag( probably Gamefan)..... does anyone know which format this game is on? And is it any good?

It's for Super Famicom. It's good but not great from what I remember.

Oh yeah and it's called Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventure. I guess they figured it would have as much selling power in the West as a Care Bears game.

Heh, I thought side scrolling Twinbee was called Parodius.

Nope. Stinger on NES was the only Twinbee shooter they released domestically.

Wasn't that some Viewpointish game? I remember Twinbee playing as an overhead Ordyne of sorts.

Actually, a few of the TwinBee and Parodius games were released in Europe under Konami's Palcom label (think Ultra). Namely the original Parodius, Bells 'n Whistle (Detana Twinbee, the second Arcade Twinbee), Pop'n Twinbee and Rainbow Bell Adventures (the side-scrolling one xS is talking about). Heck, they even got Konami's GB Collection carts with complete Color-overhaul.

It got a Euro release, along with Parodius and Pop n' Twinbee

Gokujou Parodius had a "world" version called Fatastic Journey, just as Detana! Twinbee was called Bells & Whistles in its World version.
