After some random silliness playing around with stationary and a critical analysis of their fax display items that looked more like toddler devices, I selected a model from Sharp. Then I ended up in the back and suddenly the reality hit me that "oh, yeah -- these guys DO sell wall units and stuff." My girlfriend ended up picking what ultimately is the new hotness for my work area -- making the older desk truly look "old and busted". Think I am kidding? Here's the pics for proof.
Gunstar Heroes contest copies resting on the "old 'n' busted" desk...
The dawn of a new age...DUN, DUN, DUN!!!!
The NEW hotness...
Doesn't it look spiffy? It took hours to put up due to the million screws and bolts needed to hold it all together. My girlfriend was supposed to help me, but she merely sat there being cute before finally falling asleep. Naturally, I don't know what that feels like as my body seems capable of going at least 2 days w/o a good night's rest. Eventually it's going to catch up to me. I was up until the next morning (started at 1 a.m.) and put the final touches on it before eventually taking a short nap myself before work. It was definitely worth it and it adds some definition to the term "home office". Now my plushies can all co-exist in peace and all my assorted paperwork, stationary and knick-knacks aren't battling for space on the desk.
*checks clocks* Hm, it's a bit after Noon -- I've gotta run out in a bit to take care of a few errands. Besides, I've went on much longer than anticipated and this gives me the perfect incentive to follow-up with a new edition sooner than later.
