It's here...the 360 is here in my house. ...but, I am not playing it quite just yet. A dozen or so reviews are calling my name (well, maybe it's my writers doing that in the hopes that their work will go live before they're too old to remember writing them).
Picked up 2 new games to my current collection: Need for Speed Most Wanted and Ridge Racer 6. During an AIM discussion this evening, Shane told me that it bites the big one. Ok, he didn't really say that -- or did he?
Shane: except it sucks! PGR baby
Me: dude, don't tell me that
Me: i just purchased it
Shane: well, if you REally like ridge racer
Shane: it's worth it
Shane: but it's basically just the PSP game
Needless to say, I was hella disappointed. According to him, Project Gotham Racing 3 is the prettiest of the bunch which is gamer jargon for the graphics kick all sorts of ass. Damn it, now I have to fork out more cash -- something that I am not particularly happy about doing. In case you didn't already know, the 360 games run $60 a pop. Yup, that's $10 bucks more than titles usually run. Not sure why third-party companies are looking to rape my wallet, it can only take so much loss of the lovely green.
Anyways, I'll be following up with some sort of impressions later during the week (or today, if I can bring myself to sit here and say a few words).
In other news, I took my relationship with Cassie to the next level. Yes, from this day forward, she's officially my fiance and it won't be long before the marriage gates open, welcoming us to a new frontier of love and happiness. Man, that was a bit too mushy even for me. LOL. But in all seriousness, I am really happy how things turned out. She didn't even see it coming...offered it to her while playing one of my main soul brothers: Luther Vandross singing a classic song "You Are My Lady". Yeah, that's right -- I've got class. :)
More to come later this week.
