Okay, maybe that's taking it too far. The Golden Avenger is just as effective in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as his blue or silver counterparts. But there's a reason that each character in the game has three alternate costumes instead of just one. Some of us have an affinity for certain looks, especially on the Marvel side, where there is a whole history behind Spider-Man's black outfit versus his Stark armor, and so on.
So if you insist on going into battle with a team of redheads, prefer the glam-rock M.O.D.O.K., or you just wanna know where the pink doggie is, use the guide on these two pages to find what you want. This is especially helpful when you are picking colors for your three reserve teams, as the game only has "Color 1," "Color 2," etc. listed - not a useful scheme at all.
