Nobody Cares What Candice Thinks: Episode 5

It's been a long time since anyone's heard from everyone's favorite mouthpiece. See what she's been up to.

I had a LOT of fun with Need For Speed Most Wanted though. I don't know what it is about scooting away from cops and crashing into cars while going over two-hundred miles per hour... but I got into it. I sat there and giggled for about an hour and a half as I raced away from other cars and found side-streets to divert people's attention from me. Really awesome and you can totally see a lack of loading screens that the normal Xbox wouldn't have been able to pull off. Microsoft made a really heavy machine, let's just hope they can do something ultimately spectacular with it before people start to lose interest.

I think that they're banking on Oblivion to be that title that will gain back some of the 360 slack. With such a large chunk of time between when they announced their release and when the game will actually hit store shelves, they're losing interest in other games. Perhaps it's just because such a small amount of titles actually give you that sense of accomplishment. I mean, seriously.. the 360 isn't showing me anything that impresses me just yet. Once we see Oblivion though, I'm sure all of that will change and I'll be kissing the ground that Billy Gates walks on.

Also, I've been trying my hardest to completely unlock and find all of the Prince's cousins in We Love Katamari. It's not easy though, I'll tell you what. When I thought I had actually found them all, I found some weird little cousin called Miso with a bowl of soup for a head. Not pleased about that. Perhaps I'll look online for a comprehensive list of all the cousins, then I can lose my mind a little bit more. Also, has anyone else realized just how relaxing that game can be to play? While I was sick, I found myself slinking into my desk chair and quietly playing We Love Katamari until I started dozing off. There's a few songs on there and a few levels that totally relax me when I play them before bed. I should write up which levels and which songs to play, seriously -- try it before bed.

For my birthday, my parents got me The Brothers Grimm and a huge box of candy. I'm not too terribly high maintenence in the Birthday department. Marcus got me a pair of adorable Adidas Original shoes. They're eggplant purple with three velcro straps and the usual Adidas stripes. I love them. So comfortable. However, I'm going to need those to work off the thirty candy-bars and bags of M&Ms that my folks got me. I just sat around while I was sick, eating candy and watching movies. I know, what a hard life I must lead. Right?

Also, there have been a few fan-subs of anime that I've gotten into. For example, "How To Breed Kappas" is one that I'm absolutely tickled by. It's about an animal called a Water Imp, which is a mythological creature in Japan but for the sake of the anime -- they made it into a normal domesticated pet. Kinda like a dog, you know? So this man goes to a pet shop and buys himself a Kappa, which are absolutely freaking adorable. Seriously, it's the cutest thing you've ever seen. Since it's a short cartoon, there are many of them. Twenty-three so far, I believe. It goes through teaching his Kappa how to use a kiddy toilet and showing him how to swim. With the Japanese sense of humor, you get to see the poor little Kappa defecating and scratching at his owner's tush because he "likes the smell" of it. Weird, but totally cute.

Let's see, what else have I been up to? Hm. That's about it. Hanging out with friends in the area and that's about it. Since this last couple of months is generally slow for reviewing, I've been awaiting my next title to actually get out and play. It should be awesome though and I swear it'll be something worth the read.

Kisses!
