With the upcoming flood of holiday games already upon us, I'm doing something a little different. I'm ignoring it. There's just too many rolling out for one man to keep track of them all, much less play them. We've already been hit with Dead Space, Fracture, and Saint's Row 2, with Fable 2, Mirror's Edge, and Fallout 3 waiting in the wings, while I've still got a dozen games on the shelf with plenty of play left in them. Not that I won't be playing new games, Fallout 3 is essential for me, but I'm not going to waiting on baiting breath as the release date draws near, waiting outside Best Buy a 9:50am. Games don't lose their fun if you pick them up a month down the road. So clear out that pile of shame and have a not so game obsessive holiday. Right now I'm unlocking the final heroes in Warriors Orochi 2 while I wait for Mercenaries 2 to arrive. Another to add to the pile...
I have to agree with Aaron. While many of you will undoubtedly be pining over every latest release, I'll be doing my best to catch up on stuff that's been building over the past several months. When you're one of the few that hasn't even completed Bioshock or managed to get 100% in LEGO: Batman, how could you be thinking about what's next? That's not to say I won't be playing anything new -- Gears of War 2 (coming out later this week) and Guiter Hero: World Tour, followed by the long-awaited debut of SSFIIHDR will be top priorities and then I've gotta really sit down and take care of the dozens of games I've been unable to enjoy. I need a vacation.
