Gangstas and monkeys and plankton! Oh my!

Now that the new gaming year is officially underway, it's time to get playing. Some kinds of play are different than others, with Electroplankton being the kind of thing you play with, rather than play through. Most other games are of the more traditional variety, though, with RPGs like Wild ARMs 4 and platforming with Megaman bringing in the usual goal-oriented activities.

Next week sees the advent of baseball season a bit earlier than usual, with EA's MVP NCAA Baseball starting things off before the Superbowl is played. There's also a double-shot of monkeys, with the platformer Ape Escape 3 coming in with the mini-game fest of Ape Escape Academy. Urban thugs and samurai round things out, and that's it for new year week #2. It may be short, but it's diverse.
