As a general rule, January isn't known as gaming's greatest season. A quick peek at the list will back this up, but it's not a total wash. Remakes are the saving grace right now, with Devil May Cry 3 getting a tune-up, and a revamped Megaman X hitting the PSP. Thanks, Capcom.
Strangely enough, Tamagotchi has resurrected itself from the Land of Forgotten Fads to get itself a DS game, in addition to its renewed popularity in the original format. There's a lesson about the cyclical nature of the universe and how it relates to human behavior in there somewhere, but I've no idea what it could be.
