Console gaming dead, the handheld revolution has begun!

The larger consoles may be taking a few weeks off, with the exeption of an odd and an end, but the handhelds never rest. This week saw a whopping total of one new console title, in the form of the new Prince of Persia, and a handful of portable games. Mario & Luigi made their return on the DS, while PoPoLoCrois finally put in a showing here in the US.

Next week doesn't look much different. The one console title is Mario Strikers, which would have looked so much cooler if the in-game graphics used the art style found on all its promotional material. Mario then keeps playing his days away on the handhelds in Mario Tennis, and the Prince of Persia has two totally different games coming in as well. Also showing up is Tokobot, which will hopefully be a new franchise with tons of worthy sequels from Tecmo. And then there's Animal Crossing, which might as well fuse itself to DSes nationwide once it hits.

Sneak peek- The week after next sees more than one console game in it. Honest!
