Well this is a little more like what one expects from Spring. After the last few weeks of getting slammed with one huge release after another, culminating in the launch of a brand new gaming platform, it's good to see things calming down a bit. A big-budget title a week seems like a walk in the park after that huge glut of new games.

It's interesting that we're starting to see deluxe release for big titles now. True, the extra goodies in both the Splinter Cell and Doom 3 collector's editions don't quite match the amazing stuff seen in a Japanese deluxe box, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Now if only they'd offered a deluxe Lego Star Wars with an assortment of characters to put together, then we'd have something worth showing off.
