Assassins and mobsters and poker, oh my!

Four different titles made it out last week, and one of them was only one third of a full game. If you weren't a fan of assassination, poker, brilliant FPS, or spiders for the very young, it was a bit empty.

Next week, on the other hand, is somewhat perkier. Several different kinds of sports pad out a list with a new Gradius (new to the US, at any rate), a pair of DS puzzlers, and a shiny new PSP RPG. Topping it off is a semi-new Grand Theft Auto, which normally would be foretold by an unending barrage of publicity and hype. Maybe its old life on the PSP made it seem not worth the bother this time, but it's feels nice to not get beaten over the head with its existence for five months straight prior to release.
