Weekly Report, 9/26 Feature - The Next Level

Weekly Report, 9/26

Just another pair of weeks in the run-up to the holidays. Try not to feel too overwhelmed.

Well this is impressive. Two large weeks in a row, the first with a distinctly Marvel flavor. Spiderman, the X-Men, and an all-purpose Marvel universe game all within two days of each other, and nary a Batman or Superman to be found. All that superhero power paled in comparison to the raw might of the King of All Cosmos in We Love Katamari, though. Whether it's mutants fighting mutants or living up to the great responsibility that comes with great power, it's hard to argue with a being who places stars in the sky.

Next week looks to be no slouch in the gaming department either. EA and 2K Games continue their faceoff, moving to simultaneous NBA releases. Capcom releases their first arcade compendium (ignoring the Street Fighter packs) while Midway brings out their third. The DS gets two adventure games, one of the standard point & click variety and another a bit more action oriented. There's even horse breeding, for those who are into it. We've yet to see Championship Knitting, but it can't be too far off at this rate.
