Today's offering was an E3 giveaway last year (2003) to promote Nyko's line of Air Flo products, which in the typical manner of third-party peripherals skimped on manufacturing costs by omitting the "w" at the end of the word Flow. E3 can get a bit warm at the best of times, so it's really a well-thought-out freebie, and apparently there was a line to get them. I only found out about this line after I came by from the wrong direction and snagged one off the counter on the way. Nobody noticed, but whoops.

So, basically, it's a little handheld fan with floppy soft plastic rotors that, when they spin at a decent speed, actually provide a good breeze. On the spinning part of the fan you get a neat LED display that forms patterns and looks even niftier in the dark.

Really, that's pretty much it on this thing. E3 freebie, moves air well, pretty lights. Very nice, but not "fan-tastic," seeing as we're above that kind of thing. Nor was the fan "taken out for a spin". Some depths just aren't worth sinking to.
