Draft. MT-N-7316 19320825 21:44:36 Helen Allegra held her right eye fully open as she lay upon her side on the bed, with her brain still fully attentive and unable to be at rest. Tonight's performance from her parents was the standard routine once it began, and more than likely the dialogue (which she didn't bother to eavesdrop upon this time) was similar as well; her Mom would bring up something about money, like grocery money or the water bill or wanting ...
Draft. MK-S-4798 18810408 15:38:11 Richard's grin spread widely across his face as he watched his father wring the white powder over his dark hands. However, he didn't keep his gaze on the hands for long, and let his eyes dart around the room to drink the scenery into his body - the mere act of being in the room was excitement enough. As he looked across the room and saw pictures of people he didn't recognize, and books with no words on their spines filling ...

Draft. 19111007 20:24:39 DK-N-0404X3200 The cue met the mark on the left side on the striped nine, but only with enough force to inch it towards the empty pocket in front of it before coming to a rest on the edge. The cue stopped in a direct line from the ten ball with ten inches between them and two inches to the pocket. David Rothchild grimaced and took a long drag on his cigar while stepping backwards, then holding the glowing tobacco high above the ...
Draft. 19111006 22:17:02 EQ-S-1818 The ambient noise in the small bar was rapidly increasing, now that the workers of the second shift from the nearby factory were starting to file in. Speech in coarse Germanic and Slavic tongues filled the air. There was some discussion of the work conditions and the need for the Union to ask for a push to change things inside. Others exchanged the latest news about their wives and children. Maroa sat with Daniel Christenson ...
With the last of the difficult and necessary tax form work done and awaiting IRS response to progress further, I think it's time for me to honor my word and get back to writing some Everstreets draft content. It'll take me a bit of hand wringing to get back into the motions, but I have to start somewhere. Also, across my old master draft compilation and the log file which I kept from entries that I posted here, I have somewhere around sixty thousand words written for the story. The time will come ...
Today was a good day to relax. The weather was nice. My wife and I got to meet up with my cousin at a bookstore which she hasn't been to before. As it turns out, there's a management and ownership change ongoing so the store is basically liquidating inventory right now. I was able to get a few books for $2 each when they normally would have gone for $5, so my total bill was $26 when a similar set of books would have run me for $40 or more. I was able to submit the last of the consolidated ...
Retail. One of the coworkers managed to fix the remote. It turns out that there is a reset button which is by the external base of the battery. Some jamming on buttons there is all it took to get it back in order. In other news. One idea that I've had for a while now, seeing as how I come across so many of them, is to start taking pictures of the various shopping lists which are left behind in the carts that I encounter at work. Doing this would require either carrying around the ...
Up against the clock. Retail work wasn't so bad. Sunday volume was relatively light. It was a good time for a break. I managed to get the first parent return filed successfuly for the 1120 Consolidated Return Test Scenario. The rest should fall into place rather quickly. Songs took a bit to warm up to play well, but I got there. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart modifier. All songs are of highest difficulty ...
Retail work. The remote seems to have died today. The batteries were replaced, and the red LED light illuminates when the green button is pressed to sync the signal up with the machine. However, pressing either speed button to make the machine actually go results in no reaction on the LED. I opened and inspected the inside of the remote and saw nothing out of place, and confimed that the PCB and connecting wires were still well in place with glue and solder. I can't think of a way to manually fix ...
I've set a new goal for myself. It's largely pointless and will be something that will likely take me several years to accomplish. The pass rates are rather low. But it's something to shoot for. My goal is to pass the N1 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam. I've purchased many dictionaries and have let my knowledge lay fallow for many years after making my initial struggle with it so long ago. However, at this point, I haven't lost what I've learned, and if anything these past few weeks ...
All of the other Form 1120 test scenarios have been sent without error. Well, I didn't send the 7004 extensions, but those are simple one page submissions and I've already sent one of them successfully so I know I can do the rest. This is my roundabout way to say that I'm procrastinating on perfecting the consolidated return sceario. I should be able to keep headaches to a minimum as long as I revise the Forms one company at a time. It will probably consume at least my entire weekend regardless. ...
Two more Form 1120 tests completed. I had to do a few adjustments to Form 1120S to add in some calculation scripts which I'm not sure how I managed to neglect beforehand. I also had to adjust one of the Yes/No choice checkboxes; the acceptable data for those elements are "0" and "1", and the default assignment when assigning the XSD points to the form in LiveCycle is "Yes" and "No", so it's something that needs to be manually adjusted when the Forms are being ...
It took a lot of effort to drag myself out of bed today. Having a cat jump in and snuggle up to me for an hour didn't help matters. A short YT clip has made the rounds which show how to make a kind of cold air blower by means of sealing a styrofoam cooler and cutting holes in it to allow a fan to blow over the ice inside, and another to vent the blown and cooled air out. With a full bag of ice inside, it does produce a noticable stream of colder air. I notice that ...
Temperature was a factor in retail work today. It started with the potential to be much worse, though; when I arrived, I was given orders to "clean up the lot" because the contractor who operates the street sweeper hadn't arrived by that point. Without further clarification, this task could have taken me several hours to complete. Rather than dive right in, I went about the other usual morning routine activities first, namely to align corrals and get the water cooler set up. By the time ...
Test Scenario 1 of 2012 Form 1120 series has been submitted successfully. Once I had made sure that I had used all the new Forms, I went about to manually check the freeform attachment figures to ensure that they were still valid according to the test data. I started to do the same for the Forms themselves, but quickly lost patience and went ahead with a submission. First result gave me five errors, and the second attempt made fifteen minutes later was good. I'd say that couldn't have went much ...
