Today's retail experience was unique.

At the start of the day I'm greeted with the news that we need to do some arranging in the vestibules. The two main entrances are formed with glass doors which are breakaway hinged for emergency purposes. Since the store opened, within the vestibules and in front of these same doors we have had recycling bins, trash bins, and other items. The news which came is that these doors were to be free of all items immediately. With no other place to put ...

I guess the current cheap outdoor grill that we have is still more impervious to water than the older one was, as the inside of the grill was a thick sludge rather than a dry pile of ash. Cleanup was not very pleasant, and I still have some residual soot in my fingernails.

One of the D3/TL2 pals of mine has now moved on to Dead Island to play with his girlfriend. Looks like I won't be joining them there.

Woke up with a pretty sore back. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, and the correlation that I can see is that it has a tendency to be stronger if I sleep longer. As before, the pain went away as the day went on. It's just another small thing to keep a look out for in the future.

I did manage to make it to my sister's place to help move the elliptical machine. The task was done immediately and took only a few minutes, and getting there didn't take much more than fifteen ...

The Wacom Cintiq 21UX is a fine piece of hardware, but when I acquired one for my wife, I unwittingly did so at the exact worst possible time. It turns out that her's is among the batch for which they tried to use a new screen covering, and the material used turned out to be susceptible to scratch erosion over extended use. I tried using car wax and anti-scratch materials to smooth it out, and doing so may have made the screen feel physically smoother for a time, the patch of scratches was still ...

I wouldn't have particularly guessed it right off, but it turns out that the most common matter which gets wound up and clogged in shopping cart wheels is hair. They are easy enough to disassemble with two .5 inch wrenches, and a hammer or wrench for axis bolts which are particularly rusted or otherwise difficult to remove. Another night vanished into ether.

I guess certain things which I did explain it. We're watching new Doctor Who episodes one day later through the privilege of Amazon Prime rental, so that took up some time today. I think I liked this episode most out of this season so far. Then a house check on D3 led to me doing a pair of uber runs which went very well, so I'm thankful for that much. See wife to bed, get some things set and updated in Torchlight, play songs, and it's close to midnight. ...

I should have taken the cue last night to send out an additional resume submission or two rather than feel compelled to have some sort of game time to cap the night. It really wasn't necessary, though at least I managed to find a friend whom I haven't seen in a while in doing so.

I went to a nearby store to purchase something that I felt a coworker might have wanted to soothe a sore throat, and while in line waiting to make the purchase, I got to hear the banter between two women ...

Now that the tax season is over, I feel that the choices with which I can spend my free time - particularly on work days such as today - are all the more important to question and justify. I'd like to get back to writing ES. I'd like to get back to making more house models with Sketchup for supporting ES, I really did enjoy that. I should probably update onelinetaxcode at the moment. I'd like to get back to developing more non-1040 tax forms to get that software approved. But I have had some kind ...

Save scumming is easy enough to do in Torchlight 2. Have the person wear items that you want to dupe. Make copy of save file. Rename copy. Move both to save subdirectory. Open one copy. Move desired duped items to Share Stash. Delete copy of character from which items were moved. Resume play with other copy. By doing this I have now accumulated enough good items and hacked items that I can bring someone up from start to 100 within a few hours. I think the desire amongst my circle of players is to ...

I had a recruiter contact me about a job that only asks about expertise in Word, Excel, and XML. I responded promptly to the mail as well as the subsequent call that the person made, so hopefully that puts me in some sort of prioritized position.

I had my wife try to play Torchlight with this hacked item (a belt called Mystical ENDGAME) and she was less than impressed. I helped get a tax returned filed before the deadline today - or so I assume at least.

I received all of the details over the phone, and filled out the W2 and 1040 with ease. The client was a dependent student, so it was a simple case. One W2, no personal exemption, standard deduction, fine, done in ten minutes. The actual process of getting the filing finished took more than a half hour, though, as it took a bafflingly long amount of time for the cilent's mother to figure out a usable ...

At the retail job today, I got to help a customer purchase over two hundred 2 Liter bottles of soda. Moving the liquid required three standard carts and an additional special kind of cart which is usually used by employees for stocking purposes. Her total came out to $288. It was a nice way to spend forty minutes being on the job and not wrestling carts outside. However, today's weather made that usual task more pleasant than usual, so if anything it's too bad that I could have had this happen on ...

In other store news, I may have been the snitch that causes someone to face stronger discipline. It's been a problem long enough and the issue at hand is something for which he was already disciplined about, so for that and his actions affecting my ability to do my job was enough to push me to do this. I won't hold my breath for anything drastic to happen regardless, as I know that they only fire people as a last resort because of how much effort ...

A new cart machine arrived at the store. I was the person assigned to assemble it, as I had been with the last one that came in. If memory serves me right, I spoke of doing so on a post here. This time, I at least had enough foresight to position the shipment in a spot where I could assemble it without turning the machine on. Tomorrow will be the day when it has its first use with a entire day's worth of charge stored into the batteries. At least I hope so - I'm bracing for someone to have found ...
