Typing this all with one hand while the other is entrenched in a cat belly is a bit difficult.

I have acquired tax paperwork for two of my Uncles today as well as a coworker's yesterday. It's time for me to earn some redemption.

As would be expected, today's song session was much better than Monday's. Thanatos came up yesterday but I skipped it, and I'm glad I waited until today. Also I'm glad that even as bad as yesterday's run was, I didn't mess up Anagrams as badly as I did a few days ago.

I was asked to send my resume to a contact referred to me by my Mother from her former workplace. I thought I had typed the name into the field but nothing auto-filled for me yesterday. Today I type in the last name first, and it comes up right away. At least it was the weekend, so no major amount of time was lost.

Today's song session was a roller coaster. I know I always score bad on Saffron Beach Driving, but a -25% is still painful. It didn't sting particularly much this time, ...

I think I should get back into the habit of bringing my Civil War newspaper reprint books with me to work. Being up to date with yesterday's news by means of print is well enough, but I think I felt more inspired when I read that antiquated content.

Lo and behold, I have a day where I both have an increase of some kind and no plays that are 10% off or worse. Whole lot of kanji songs today, followed by a hot double injection of Dai right near the close. So fabulous.

Just as I'm pulling out of the driveway to fetch dessert, I get a call from one of my uncles. He had an unfortunate stroke accident which left him debilitated, so his speaking can be labored, but I did what I could to take down his tax return information. Despite doing so, there's a statement that he has which isn't a government form, so I need to have that mailed to me directly and cannot process the return until then. Lamentable.

Had stuff to do, and ended up playing a new game with the wife. Which game? Torchlight 2. Curiosity got the best of me. GameFly has it priced at $7 per account, so it was pretty difficult to say no. LAN play works out OK eventually.

Today's discovery: There are still job postings - on the Internet, no less - which require you to mail a physical resume printed on paper. Faxes and email are not allowed. It's a state job, so I guess there's an easy joke to put there about how lazy the government is, but it's still rather shocking to see.

Today's retail shift ended well enough in that I was able to get my requested Saturday worked to have it off after all. Someone else had apparently requested the day off before I put my request in, and he was willing to reverse his request because the only reason that he asked for the day off is "so that I could have Saturday and Sunday off for once".

Yesterday's whining did give me enough impetus to fire a few rounds into the abyss, by which I mean I submitted my resume to a few more job postings that were forwarded to my mailbox. I have had one response from some kind of recruiter person to inform me that I would be good in insurance sales, and this hasn't happened in a few months so I appear to be back on the right track as far as putting my name out there. I recall a time back in the early 2000s that I went in for an interview of some kind ...

The world did not end today. No, it wasn't supposed to.

I did not win the lottery today. I did not quit my retail job today. I did not get any new job leads today, nor any phone calls or mails in response to any applications. I did not decide that I had enough with stagnation or being non complacent in life and give up things which I vaguely refer to as bullshit, lest I even spell the terms out on this post.

Retail work news. One of the cartmen who has threatened to quit on repeated occasions since his first week of work, which occurred several months ago, has finally followed through on his threat and officially quit - for real this time. The blow up happened last night, and apparently the issue was that he refused to get off of his phone when someone from immediate management demanded him to end the call. There was also some issue about a command given to him to have "all of the lot cleaned up" ...

One bad run negates a hundred good ones in my memory. I sit here and look at the time I spent and wonder why I bother, but then I need to recall that there's plenty of times that I've enjoyed these things, so the balance is in fact intact. But the times when it instills anger within me are difficult to let go. It still is.

No, I haven't done much of anything else, thanks for asking. I will change that by submitting more applications into the abyss now.

Yesterday was the first time that I had logged onto the USA Jobs website since sometime in 2010. I had forgotten that IRS applications tend to take around a half hour to complete, just for reading and responding to the various situational questions that are asked.

In today's visit to my parent's house I have come to discover that, in addition to the kitchen wall and floor tile work and cabinet replacement, they are redoing the tile in an adjacent room and replacing the dishwasher ...

I wonder what is the point at which I should start worrying that I never even get a response from all of these job applications.

For today's song session, I think I had the table positioned back farther than what I had been doing the last few times. I can't think of any other good reason why it seemed like I was perceiving more of the note display today than in the last few days. I'm rather surprised that Madrugada feels like it has extra notes here when it in truth does not.
