Today and tomorrow are the two days when us employees can use our 25% vouchers which we received for working Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The 25% reduction applies to an entire transaction, as opposed to one item; today was the day that my mother in law and I went shopping to stock up and take advantage. Despite not having purchased any kind of item more than $35 (some Rumple Minze and Johnnie Walker Black Label, to stock up there and prepare for Christmas Eve), the total bill was just short of ...
The furnace repairman arrived about twenty minutes after 11AM, but with today being a day that nobody had scheduled retail work or anything else planned, the wait wasn't an issue. What did need replacement was the igniter plug, the filament of which did manage to snap cleanly through in one spot. That would explain why the furnace would not stay lit. Parts and labor totaled $192, but he accepted $180 in cash. Good man. I started La Pucelle Tactics today during my exercise, and it's ...
I slept another twelve hours this morning. I seem to be feeling better in some respects. In other news, the furnace is acting up and a visit for repairs is scheduled at 11AM tomorrow. I can't wait. Songs. Awful. I haven't been this angry about playing this game in a long time. I have no idea how I managed to get an increase with Ballad The Feathers while everything else was so bad. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart ...
After dinner yesterday I felt very bloated and went to bed at 9PM, which is early for me. I woke up at 5AM and went about my exercise, and I noticed that I felt pretty awful and struggled to get through the ordeal. Once in the shower, I had the sensation on the skin that I get when I know I'm sick, where the part of water that hits the body feels very warm and the other half which is not touched by water feels very cold. I lingered in the shower longer than usual as I tried to regain my bearings ...
The internet speed seems to be pretty bad here today. Nobody is doing anything abnormal, even so much as downloading any kind of large file or torrent. Songs. I took the time to bring one of our microphone stands down to the basement room here and balanced the newly purchased web cam at the end of it. I wanted to see if its physical presence would enter into my periphery vision or somehow alter my play ability; I think today's results confirm that it has no particular effect at all. ...
Family dinner was today so that more people could attend rather than work around Thanksgiving day itself. It went well. I was actually surprised by how visibly pregnant my cousin is, I didn't expect to see her in that state already. I think I'm done with playing Densha De Go Final; at least I've reached the point where I have all movies unlocked, which is something that I said was a goal a while ago. At this point, all there's left to do is get some clear markings on a few remaining ...
Today was the grand return to carts and ultimately it was rather uneventful. I was alone for the first three hours of the shift, and that was just as well as the store volume was basically flat as well. There was plenty of garbage to take care of and carts in far locations to round up, so I wasn't hurting for things to do, but the first portion of the day was rather dull and consumed by simple busy work. The store volume did manage to become rather substantial by the afternoon hours, and thankfully ...
Silly me, did I think that I was done with making tax form updates? One thing which I didn't bother to do last year was make a separate functional form for the 1040 Line 44 worksheet, and that's something which I should make a point to include in consideration every year as it comes into use fairly frequently, both for test scenarios and actual tax returns which I prepare. There's also things like the 1040 Other Withholding Statements and the like which I'll need to ensure are up to date. I've completed ...
Mail to cousin, sent. Mail to possible language exchange contact, sent. I woke my wife up at about midnight today as I was rummaging through the basement closet to ensure that we didn't have a capture card or anything else lying around which I could use for streaming, rather than buy it now and discover we had something useful later. In the process of doing so I knocked an LCD monitor over a bit and its landing a few feet down upon some tupperware containers was enough to echo directly ...
In Densha De Go Final, the five star difficulty routes require a level of precision beyond the lower difficulty ratings. For example, on easier difficulty you can stop within 5 meters of the line, and on five stars you must stop within 2 meters of the line. Similar precision is required for not being penalized on tardiness. There's a five star course I had left to do in a Tokaido route that runs the entire length, which means it has more than a dozen stops and takes about sixty minutes to complete. ...
Thanksgiving week is in full swing at the store already with people freaking out all over the place, customers and employees alike. Despite the staffing of my department being light today, I was paged to go out and help push carts twice, and neither time was there any particular need to do so. Things like that don't really matter when panic is the rule of the land. It's rather unfortunate that I'll only have two days away from it this week. In the last hour at retail work, the truck ...
My wife has tomorrow off of work, so what I'll ask as a suggestion for her and her mother to do is round up the materials necessary for me to begin streaming my daily sessions. Here's hoping they spend the time to do it, or at least my mother in law does. Lord knows she needs something to do. Sundays at the store remain quiet. The other shifts did their job well enough to not impede mine, and I have a routine figured out so that I know how to find something to do from one task to ...
Today is as much of a relaxation day as I'm going to allow myself for the near term future, as today's activities consisted of going to work, and then promptly going to a coworkers place for her to host us for a dinner evening to watch the Dr. Who special that was earlier broadcast. The show was good, and she had a good time with making some thematic dinner choices (fish and vanilla pudding rather than custard, and some good simple souffle). Her three month old cat proved to be good entertainment ...
Hi there. I have just emerged out of my cave and have first heard of Cryptolocker today. I am one of the many who don't make offline backups daily and I didn't have Malwarebytes installed, so I stopped procrastinating on the second part and got the free version to see what it could find. Thankfully, I don't seem to have that particularly nasty infection yet, but I seem to have others, so I think the $25 cost is justified to get it registered and support the company. I'll be sure to let the program ...
All Forms and return header updates are complete. Next phase is to get the new IRS A2A program installed (which should not be an issue at all) and get the test submissions formed. As it turns out, a lot of the elements in the return headers were slightly renamed, so it's a good thing that I checked to make sure it required editing. I slept in like a bum and wasn't able to get much else accomplished on the day. I indirectly blame my wife, because she had a slight fever in the morning ...
