On a global scale, this week sure did suck, didn't it. My personal work week wasn't too great either, but that's mostly just due to work volume. There were no catastrophes to speak of, so relatively I honestly don't have much to complain about there. For the sake of something frivolous to talk about, I finished doing something today which has actually made my home IIDX sessions immediately better. Long story short, I have completed the replacement of the switches and ...
A single day off in the middle of the week feels rather strange for this job. It is a welcome reprieve regardless. Meanwhile, my one uncle's family which includes five children (the elder female at 12 and four younger boys who are all six and up) were over at my parent's place today for a recognized Thanksgiving feast as well as a way to commemorate my Dad's birthday. I got roped into play duty for them and was summarily assaulted for two hours straight. What joy. I ...
I have little to say because winter hit the roads during the night and in the course of doing the route I managed to get a solid jackknife occur while exiting off of an Interstate. I was able to both walk and drive away, and do so rather quickly thanks to a towtruck making a coincidental passby right afterwards. Regardless, the event left me pretty frazzled and doing the rest of the route did not help my mood. There were several ditched cars and trucks on the roads. Song sessions ...
Run like hell. First thing's first - I have no good response to the Paris terrorist attack. The 12 pack bottle box of Soylent arrived in time for me to consume two bottles of it this week. One day had me handle cages and engine returns to the very end and resulted in me being home by 100PM. The next day, I was stuck on an Interstate for an hour while I was two miles away from my next exit. The stoppage occurred in the middle of the night and there was a trail of trucks ...
HZH has totally destroyed Time Crisis 5 with a 6M score, but someone else is right on his tail. Here's nCaD with a 5.6M run on the Player 2 side (Marc Godart). This version of TC5 TM uses subtitles in Bahasa Indonesia, but spoken dialogue is still in English. At the end, you'll notice some "suiciding" against the final boss during his last phase. One bullet is deliberately missed. Damage is taken but this allows repeating that phase ...
Politics depresses me. TPP depresses me. In the course of this week, the choice has been presented so starkly to me that I loathe to even bring it up - be ignorant or be suicidal. Really, what's worse? Knowing precisely how bad things are going to get and how helpless most of us are to do anything about it, or turning a blind eye to it all just to have the head filled with chatter about topics which are even more pointless to discuss. The choices for discussion on radio are politics, movie/TV bullshit, ...
I've been rather absent minded at work this week. It's very irritating, and I'm quite sure that there's a lot of aggravation and venting which I don't get to directly face and instead are directed towards the receptionists back at the hub, if at all. Some days I just won't be back until 1PM no matter what I do. Despite that, the work week wasn't too bad in considering that I didn't have any breakdown issues and only Monday's outbound volume was heavy. The rest of the week was pretty good. ...
Another week has passed already? If rumor becomes fact, I should finally have the initial additional stop on my route removed and have it restored to what it was originally designed to be months ago. I could use the adjustment, as it should give me at least a half hour of non-work time to my day (which is very significant), and in light of the warning which I earned after nearly blowing full through a red light (fresh rain, downhill, preceding speed change, cop at intersection causing ...
Ten weeks remain to the year. Mom wants to talk with me about taking the Corvette out to the arcade on Sunday night. These are all things which have been discussed before, but I still have to answer her questions as to where this place is, if the neighborhood is safe, how far away it is, and so on. After reanswering these questions she responds with a line about being concerned in general because "well, no offense to you, but you're going out to where gamers are hanging out, ...
Let's just put this week in the past, shall we? Basically nothing happened which hasn't happened before, and most days were long. I'm flat out exhausted. Home song sessions also generally sucked. Thankfully, I have the new BMS Of Fighters set, so getting first plays on those charts will be something to look forward to in the upcoming days. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart modifier. All songs are of highest difficulty type unless ...
Wednesday, I go to start my day and begin by pulling the tractor out from the parking space and find that I can barely nudge the steering wheel, as if it had no power steering enabled. It's at the start of the shift, so the quick remedy is to switch to another unit and have it called in. It's back and ready the next day, and I use it for the route and it's fine. Today, I start the day, bring it to the bay, hook up, load the trailer, and get to moving out. Despite no issue all of yesterday and today ...
Every day of work this week I was at least forty minutes late at the start of the route. If what I heard from another driver is to be believed, the entire reason for the delay is due to one of the distributing part plants which we serve. Allegedly, they somehow blundered scheduling to an extent that fourteen (out of how many, I don't know) employees who do the work of compiling the outbound freight were granted vacation at the same time. The biggest disappointment about this beyond that factor alone ...
I wonder what percentage of pet owners enjoy or even actively seek to have their pets sleep in the bed with them as they rest. More than a third? Half? If anything, maybe this percentage would be higher specifically to cat owners. We have two cats here and when it comes time for me to sleep during work days, my wife will both join me for a bit as well as try to have a cat join us to help with the relaxation process and such. This probably is logical enough, but only if one excludes the times when ...
Not too long ago, the True Mastermind Edition upgrade for Time Crisis 5 started trickling out to select areas. Now it has been released worldwide. The kit comes with 2 pop cards labeled "New Stages! The Complete Edition!" & "Mastermind Edition Released!' for operators to hang on the cabinet. Look for a new title screen which also features Wild Dog & Wild Fang instead of just Luke & Marc. Upgrading the game is as simple as plugging in a USB jump drive. ...

Having a Monday off gives me a direct benefit to two weeks, in that it ends one week with a nice three day respite, and it starts the next one with one day out of five already in the past. I may have had to use a different tractor two days out of the week, and the normal one which I use might be going right back into the shop after today due to the engine light coming back on again despite being in maintenance for two days, but I still feel much less drained on this Saturday than I have many others. ...
