At the end of the night last night I decided to get all of my spending done at once, and I went ahead with the purchases of what are hopefully the last necessary cords for streaming, as well as paying for renewal of my PTIN through the IRS and my annual member dues to the NAEA. That's about $300 spent there. Now I'll just need to ensure that I have my utilities paid timely and that should hopefully put an end to the December blood letting.

The fourth of the five CPE segments was completed just before writing this, and I obtained the previously elusive perfect score on this particular set of forty questions. At least with this chapter, the material finally went into a new direction and gave some interesting things for me to look over in the future regarding §1031 exchanges. The book states only one person as its author, but I wonder if certain parts were delegated or not given as much attention as others.

I think I need to turn in early today rather than waiting for the usual Sunday ritual. Sleep felt good and was over too quickly today, and I've felt pretty tired most of today.

A full day today puts me right up at the end of the clock before submitting this entry. I'll need to take the time tomorrow or sometime soon to voice my complaints about the CPE instruction material which I have to work with this year. I suppose the saving grace is that the actual CPE is earned with little difficulty, but that just means that I'll need to do more review on my own and be more cautious in my work to ensure that my instincts are still correct and make adjustments as necessary.

Today and tomorrow are the two days when us employees can use our 25% vouchers which we received for working Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The 25% reduction applies to an entire transaction, as opposed to one item; today was the day that my mother in law and I went shopping to stock up and take advantage. Despite not having purchased any kind of item more than $35 (some Rumple Minze and Johnnie Walker Black Label, to stock up there and prepare for Christmas Eve), the total bill was just short of ...

The furnace repairman arrived about twenty minutes after 11AM, but with today being a day that nobody had scheduled retail work or anything else planned, the wait wasn't an issue. What did need replacement was the igniter plug, the filament of which did manage to snap cleanly through in one spot. That would explain why the furnace would not stay lit. Parts and labor totaled $192, but he accepted $180 in cash. Good man.

I slept another twelve hours this morning. I seem to be feeling better in some respects.

In other news, the furnace is acting up and a visit for repairs is scheduled at 11AM tomorrow. I can't wait.

After dinner yesterday I felt very bloated and went to bed at 9PM, which is early for me. I woke up at 5AM and went about my exercise, and I noticed that I felt pretty awful and struggled to get through the ordeal. Once in the shower, I had the sensation on the skin that I get when I know I'm sick, where the part of water that hits the body feels very warm and the other half which is not touched by water feels very cold. I lingered in the shower longer than usual as I tried to regain my bearings ...

The internet speed seems to be pretty bad here today. Nobody is doing anything abnormal, even so much as downloading any kind of large file or torrent.

Family dinner was today so that more people could attend rather than work around Thanksgiving day itself. It went well. I was actually surprised by how visibly pregnant my cousin is, I didn't expect to see her in that state already.

Today was the grand return to carts and ultimately it was rather uneventful. I was alone for the first three hours of the shift, and that was just as well as the store volume was basically flat as well. There was plenty of garbage to take care of and carts in far locations to round up, so I wasn't hurting for things to do, but the first portion of the day was rather dull and consumed by simple busy work. One thing which I didn't bother to do last year was make a separate functional form for the 1040 Line 44 worksheet, and that's something which I should make a point to include in consideration every year as it comes into use fairly frequently, both for test scenarios and actual tax returns which I prepare. In Densha De Go Final, the five star difficulty routes require a level of precision beyond the lower difficulty ratings. For example, on easier difficulty you can stop within 5 meters of the line, and on five stars you must stop within 2 meters of the line. Similar precision is required for not being penalized on tardiness. There's a five star course I had left to do in a Tokaido route that runs the entire length, which means it has more than a dozen stops and takes about sixty minutes to complete. ...
