Dear Diary, I slept most of the day (yesterday), since I was up all night (before last) trying to catch up on work again. We went to Stone Mountain in the evening for a friend's birthday. When we started to play frisbee a youth group rushed the field and discouraged us from throwing for too long. So we ate some "cake", which was kind of a large eclair, made of brioche and filling. I wonder how hard it is to come up with new animation for the laser show here; they've been ...

So last night was pretty crazy right? You said you heard some of the real popular kids were using motion controls and you wanted to spice up our relationship. I decided we'd give it a shot, and then you whip out all of these old moves that we all saw last year. If this is where our relationship is going, I think it's time we take a break. It's not me, it's you. Remember when rhythm games were niche? Now look at them, every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a music game out. Some good, ...

The phone rings. I muster up all the possible enthusiasm that I can and answer with a dead pan monotone, "Game Craze" "Yo! Y'all got them new xbaks?" "The one that was just announced that it is shipping to retailers and will be available by the end of the week?" "Nah man! They just said it's out today" "Nah man. They just announced that it is shipping to retailers and will be available by the end of the week." ...

Would you like to play a game?
Dear diary, Yesterday wasn't terribly eventful. I tried to catch up on work for the majority of the day, since I ended up so far behind this week . We went to my sister's for Sunday dinner, and played Rock Band for a couple hours. I'd never played drums before, it's hard! See you tomorrow!

I've never seen the reason to have these things. Most people just are not that interesting, and have nothing interesting to share unless they heard/read it from some other far more interesting source. But we all want to be noticed. We all want attention. Especially those of us who say we don't. The only things even remotely interesting about my everyday life are the people who frequent the game shop I work at. So I plan on filling this space with pictures and anecdotes ...
So, it's nice that we have TNL blogs now but I already have Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. I'm not sure what I would write in a TNL blog that wouldn't already go into one of those places. Should I just copy and paste from those other places? Wouldn't that just be redundant?
The last few years have been a bit of a blur. Playing with your perception of reality can do that to a person. So here I am, older, wiser and concerned about how I spend my free time. I love a good video game every now and then but I also love having a place to live and a bed to share and good coffee to start every morning. Glancing at an issue of EGM or Play will always bring a rush of memories. The squandered paychecks and the joy of unwrapping a fresh new game. Inhaling the new plastic smell ...

Not anymore, I am no longer a blog virgin. TNL raped my blog butthole.

I'm glad people are actually using this feature; I thought it would take longer to catch on. I guess it's a nice place for rambling about things that we don't have a thread for. Today is my first official day at my new job as a "non-trainee." I miss the kitten lifestyle, I should have appreciated it more. With an hour commute up and back, my work days usually consume 11 hours. Maybe after a few months I'll request fewer hours, because this schedule hasn't left much time ...

My sister, Mrs. Joe Gargery, was more than twenty years older than I, and had established a great reputation with herself and the neighbours because she had brought me up ‘by hand.’ Having at that time to find out for myself what the expression meant, and knowing her to have a hard and heavy hand, and to be much in the habit of laying it upon her husband as well as upon me, I supposed that Joe Gargery and I were both brought up by hand. She was not a good-looking woman, my sister; and I had ...

And it looks like the internet is trying its damnedest to spiffy up for it. TNL got upgraded, and Joystiq even got a redesign! I remember having to pay for an IGN or gamestop subscription every year around this time back in the day, but thanks to youtube/xbox live/G4TV that's a thing of the past. Even though this years E3 might suck(lol Kinect), I'm still excited. After all, the sucky parts can sometimes be the most memorable (Raffi, Riiidge Racer, that soccer mom snowboarding with Shaun White). ...
