Today we decided to buy some take-out food (burritos) to observe Mother's Day, as none of us have a particularly strong desire to dine out. Moving on to development of the Form 1120 S series now, as I'm finally out of the woods for the first three scenario main forms. I still have to do the freeform attachments in the test cases but those are very simple. My wife has a Cintiq 21UX which has served her very well for some time now, and has had one major repair on it done for free where some ghosting started to come around. One thing which Wacom will not replace for free, however, is scratching that comes about on the plastic protective surface which starts and spreads due to the plastic nub of the pen wearing down to a fine point which progressively digs into the skin. First off I'm not a big fan of Demon's Souls. Why? All you need to know is that I didn't like it.
However with Dark Souls if I had played it last year I'd probably have considered it one of my favorites of 2011.

With the remainder of bills paid off for the month I need to see about preordering Akai Katana. There was a small leak which did develop in the plumbing work that I did yesterday, but in a different spot, so at least the issue which I needed to repair was still fixed. Luckily, the silicone sealant is easy to strip off and a new application of it seems to show better promise in maintaining a seal. ...

Upon coming home from retail work yesterday, I was told that the kitchen sink had started a slight leak. It was caught in time before there was extensive damage to the cabinet, thankfully. I asked my mother-in-law to take a picture of the problematic part of the pipework so that she could go to the hardware store and use that visual cue to help find a proper replacement, so that I could install it when I woke up today. It wasn't done, and I had to make two trips to the store - one to get the drain ...

I may have managed to avoid the heavy rain yesterday, but I still spent most of the day being soaked today. I was one of two scheduled cartmen who shown up for the occasion. At least it was warm enough to not bother working while being drenched, and the Monday volume meant it was possible to catch up despite the shorthandedness. Otherwise there was nothing remarkable in the course of the day - no incidents, nothing broke which hasn't already been broke.

There is a silence in the house now and I couldn't be more relieved. The child slept less than four hours each day he was here and I became worn out. I felt numb and listless for several hours after they were gone, and could only lay on the couch in a daze immediately after their departure. Despite that, I'm still glad to have had the day off from retail work because there were a few spots of heavy rain which I thankfully didn't have to absorb.

T minus four hours until the company arrives. I need to be quick. Despite having shitty sleep due to the thunderstorms that rolled on in the night, work was OK today, particularly in the second half of the day when there four of us out there at the same time, which is a circumstance that hasn't happened in at least a month to my specific memory.

I finally took a moment to drive out and deposit a check given to me for preparation of my Uncle's taxes. The branch which I go to now is probably no more than two miles away, closer to one, and took little time after weaving through some sidestreets so that I didn't have to wait at major intersections. Seeing as how I never had a need to do so, I never got any standard emulator programs up and running on my LB machine; but since I have visitors coming over the weekend, I decided to take care of it yesterday and get things on here. Not even halfway through setting the data bindings and field names for Form 1118 and I cannot save the form without crashing LiveCycle. It's just as well for me to split the development into two halves at this point, seeing as how the test data only requires a few of the eight pages it has, but it's still rather disappointing to hit the ceiling so soon with it. The form is revised frequently (at least, the last revision is as of December 2011) so hopefully it is put in the newer style sooner than ...
