  1. LR2 log - 20110911

All songs are Double play charts, using Random key modifier, and have a rating of at least 12. Songs in the courses are selected at random. For most songs which have multiple 12 ratings, I modify it so that the highest type of chart (Black or Another) is the only 12; that way I play the hardest version of the song and ensure I don't play it twice in the same course.

Courses are played with the 100% Gauge. Yes, this is glorified practice.

  5. Out Nerding the Nerd

You can take it for granted that I hate most customers. Ok, all customers.
But the ones that I hate the most, the ones that I'd love to shove my arm down their throat, grab hold of their raisinet balls and rip them out through their mouths? The goddamn game nerds.
They're all the same, and they're all the worst. They always come in in pairs. They're like the goddamn Sith of video game retail. There is Super Nerd who makes sure to point out all the "interesting" facts ...

  6. I got an Apartment

For the last little while we've been looking for places to move to in October, and some shit happened and some people didn't want to move out and this and that, but we got a place and I'm stoked.

The long and short of it is as follows:

So we started looking for apartments after we lost a roommate and renting a house was out of the question but that came with a lot of problems. First of all four of us were trying to move out together, that's two couples, and that meant ...

  7. Dante's Inferno? I can talk about that.

by , 03 Sep 2011 at 02:20 AM (PepsimanVsJoe talks about random games.)
When I sit down and think of all the videogames I have played through I also think about the sum total of sense they have made, which if my math is correct, totals out to somewhere over negative 17 billion and a tenth. Dante's Inferno is just another notch in the bedpost, another penny in the pot, another thing in a larger thing that is the absolute ridiculousness of videogames.

First off there is the intro. During the Crusades Dante gets killed. Apparently if you're not ready to ...

  8. My dog is dying right now.

My family got Charlie in 2003. In 2006 or so we noticed he was getting rashes and took him to the vet. It turned out it was a genetic dissorder which would effect his skin and likely one day his brain.

He had a huge siezure about half an hour ago. His eyes are vacant, his personality is different and he can't stand. I picked him up and laid him in a dog bed so he'd be comfortable while we wait for my dad to get home so him and my mom can take him to the vet where he'll need to be put ...

  10. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition (XBLA)

Now this... This takes me back.

High school days at the local arcade; a smoky and rough hive of villainy and scum, but the only place you could play Street Fighter 3 until the Dreamcast version years later. I don't know if those were specifically "the" days, but they were days to be sure: Days full of wonder, adventure, and really horrible people that had to basically sit on your lap to play against you. If you beat someone with sweeps alone they could punch you right ...

  11. Figured I'd say a few words about Mindjack

by , 22 Aug 2011 at 01:38 PM (PepsimanVsJoe talks about random games.)
In the far future man has developed a means of mind-control. Instead of merely being able to force someone to bring them a drink of water, this technology has gotten to the point where the most everyday of citizens will pull a gun out of their rear-end and engage in battle if somebody gets the bright idea to invade their skull. Also we can expect to see cyborg-primates, giant robots, and a multitude of other oddities.

    Mindjack is a third-person quasi-competitive shooter. What's the ...

  12. Two days at Comic Con

This past week I had the chance to spend Thursday and Friday at Comic Con in San Diego. It was only the third year I have attended but it keeps getting crazier. More and more people, more and more lines, and most importantly... more and more shit to buy.

I didn't want to bog down the thread with pictures but I did want to share a small sample of pics I took so I decided to make a blog entry. If you have the chance to attend, I would recommend it. Whatever you are into, it is represented ...

  13. Comic Jumper

I found an old muffin in my backpack once: A forgotten breakfast gone undiscovered for how long? I couldn't remember. It certainly looked appetizing enough through its Saran Wrappings; a cornucopia of sweet glaze and blueberries. I think nuts may have been involved. Point is, shit was looking good and I was hungry. I slowly unfurled the flimsy plastic and brought it to my nose for a cautious sniff, its sweet scent eagerly filling my nostrils. That was all I required, we were good to go. ...

  14. Do You Know the Definition of Insanity?

Do you, asshole? It's primarily a legal term describing a mental illness that is so severe the patient either finds it hard to distinguish reality from fantasy, cannot conduct his/her affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive behavior.

It has nothing to do with repetition, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, or Mark Twain. Books, movies, video games, and people who believe themselves witty need to find a new fallacy to beat into the ground.

  15. Not Dead!

Well, if you've been watching the news, you might have heard about the record setting storms and tornadoes in my area of the world.

Well, I'm not dead! And no tornadoes have hit my stuff (that I know of).

The storms got worse like an hour after my last post yesterday. At around 3, something went wrong with the power grid and my county and most of the counties around it were without power. And it was off until like 2 or 3 am? I'm actually surprised we got it back. ...
