  1. Work laziness

by , 21 Jun 2010 at 08:54 PM (The Rise and Fall of the Rude Owls)
Being that i'm the only employee where i work, sometimes i'm the only person actually at work. On most days, i go about what i'm supposed to do, interspersed with Facebook time and email time, and sometimes playing vidya games time.
There are also some days where work isn't particularly busy or i can't fill orders because of missing supplies, so i don't work as much and spend more time on doing things that aren't valuable at all. On these days, i reflect it by writing down "2 hour break" ...

  2. Hello! This is my blog.

    Hi TNL! What's new?

I guess I should talk about video games here. I like Lost Planet 2! It's good. I also like Mamono Sweeper. You should play it. You can do it here:

    You should do that.

I'm kind of hungry so I'm going to stop doing this now.

  3. Fathers Day cards are never accurate

Have you ev er tried shopping for a Fathers Day card? They all say shit like "when I was little, you were always there for me, and supportive, and I love you so much!". It was pointed out to me today that most people want a card that says something like "Well, thanks for not having me aborted" or "That child support that you sometimes paid my mother was somewhat helpful!" or whatever. Very few people I know had a fantastic father, and even if their father was nice enough, ...

  4. Arcade theme bar?

My friend and I occasionally talk about opening up a bar one day and what are the chances a bar filled with arcades could be successful? Would people think of it as a smaller, dirtier version of Gameworks or Dave and Busters?

It's not a location that I want families hanging out or a bunch of teenagers either. I want a place that people my age (25 - 30) could relieve the days that any mall you visited had an arcade but at a place with food/drinks that won't cost an arm and leg. ...

  6. The Movies of 2010 (so far)

What can be said. I have been less than enthralled by the movies released thus far ... Not with standing, Shrek and Toy Story. Kick-Ass was an okay movie, but could have been so much more. Yes, it was an engaging movie and yes the violence was awesome. But when the movie is about the character Kick-Ass and I was more excited and entertained by the side story (Hit Girl) ... that's a problem. The next movie was Iron Man 2, this movie everyone was anticipating and in the end fell short. Just the same ...

  7. Big Brother is in Your Phone, Reading Your SMS. WTF?

Well this news is disturbing. I am surprised this hasn't been announced sooner. Solution: Bitch about your boss on Skype or AIM...

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that employers at public organizations, such as police departments or local governments, have the right to search text messages sent by employees as long as "a legitimate work-related purpose" exists. The ruling was made in connection with a lawsuit filed by a police officer in California who believed the

  9. Chipotle is so good!

by , 18 Jun 2010 at 04:07 PM (The Rise and Fall of the Rude Owls)
I love Chipotle burritos, even though they're about 1/2 of your daily supply of calories. With guacamole, they are heavenly. I wish the guac wasn't an extra $1.80 though.

  13. Single Player

Sometimes it's hard getting people to come see a movie with you. It could have something to do with the types of movies I watch. I guess not everyone is into seeing a talking zombie baby popping out of its zombie mother's womb. These are just some of life's realities.

The same thing happened to me with video games. I remember learning to play an import of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure and eventually becoming really good at it. I brought it out once in my social circle and played it for ...

  14. SSFIV Tourney Mode = Major Disappointment.

So after weeks of waiting, Capcom released the free DLC for Super SFIV and it turns out to be total crap. When it was first announced, I predicted the Tournament Mode would offer a lot more substance. Instead, we get a poor man's version of Endless Battle where the true distinguishing feature is the trophy .jpeg offered to the victor.

Whoopee. No achievement. No leaderboards. Just a virtual pat on the back for becoming the king of the hill.

I feel they put as much ...
