D3 talk here because otherwise I have little else to say that's news. I got a barb to 60. With a HF ring and a Cain's set, it didn't take long at all. I was antsy to get to that point because I had some purchases made which I wanted to equip, and to see if I could come up with a different kind of build. There's a few predominant barb builds, the chief being related to the use of Whirlwind (spin-to-win) and most others just based on pure damage buffing and simple bash 'n smash. I came ...
Just one more Monday coming up. I guess I should turn in early and try to get some more rest for a change. Took a while to get into playing songs at normal feeling. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. A spot of snow came while I was outside on work. The temperature is still around the 35 degree range, so nothing is staying for long, which is fine with me. The only negative is that the snow tends to soak into clothing and gloves, so it's another new pair of shoes for me as I won't tolerate working in soaking feet while it's near freezing outside. I need to resume tax work. Songs felt better today, and I think that sentiment is reflected in the scores overall. ...
One of the not-fun things to try to edit in the new style IRS PDFs are tables, in that they handle like table objects in something like Microsoft Word or the like, which means that it becomes a pain in the ass in a hurry if you want to try to do things like merge or split columns or cells and such. I don't think LiveCycle permits the merge of single cells within a given column. Figuring out how to remove, edit, and replace a table took the majority of my time yesterday but I have it resolved now. ...
Oh blessed be, the 2012 1040 is up. Thankfully, the IRS has also brought this form into the present era of PDF design, which means that it will be much easier to modify as I need it to as well as consume much less space within revisions. The fact that I should never have to restart the form once I'm done modifying it the first time is one of the greatest aspects to the whole thing, not to mention that saving the document each time until then won't grind my machine to a halt. Meanwhile, I'm not very ...
The highlights of today is that I obtained pizza for dinner and delivered a package of my uncle's gift, because it was forgotten to be picked up by my aunt in his absence after I brought it to the family gathering on christmas eve. Songs were bad. Would have had more down but ran into a few charts that timed out at the end. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart modifier. All songs are of highest difficulty type unless specified. ...
The original plan was to see The Hobbit tomorrow midday to catch a matinee time, but we had the time available for it tonight so we elected to see it sooner. My wife felt rushed, as she likes to settle in earlier to ensure a proper seating location and because she likes watching the full amount of previews for whatever reason. Speaking of previews, I'm getting too old for loud theater bullshit. Everything is a constant assault on all senses. So tiring. The movie itself surpassed my indifferent expectations. ...
Another call off from work today after slogging through the weekend. I started yesterday at 99.6 and finished the work shift at 100.2. A new reading this morning was at 102, so I was prompted to stay home. At this point, I finally bit the bullet and buried myself in extra layers of clothing and blankets to sweat it out. Four hours is all it took, and I was promptly back at 98.6 exact. Despite getting that in order, I still carried a pretty substantial headache throughout the day, ...
Called off of work today. I'm not happy about it, but if I'm going to be at sub-optimal health, it's probably better to get rest for the first day of a series of scheduled work rather than exacerbate any potential problems. Most of the day was subsequently spent sleeping. We purchased a thermometer and my readings were consistently around 96 degrees, which is odd. I'm pretty sure that whatever is ailing me now was affecting me on the 26th, which is a shame as it likely hampered my ...
Under the weather just enough that I am sitting in stasis. I feel like I have nasal congestion and heartburn that isn't even manifest enough for me to do something like simply blow my nose to get snot out. I was supposed to go see The Hobbit with the wife and her mother today, but that was called off. I simply feel sore and useless. Time to renew my PTIN and do some work for a change. I only had gumption to play a few songs before I hit ...
Spending hours confined to a household with five children, the eldest of whom is 7, is not an ideal way to pass an evening if you have any intent of not obtaining a headache. Songs felt better today than yesterday overall, but nothing remarkable happened here. Rather difficult to clear Extrema at the end with the note scales at Random at the end there. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart modifier. All songs are of highest difficulty ...
The contemporary trend as far as family gatherings go for Christmas Eve is that we all return to my parent's place after the larger gathering at my uncle's place which is roughly a two hour drive away from where I live. This means that after doing the day's work at retail, driving out, driving back, finally returns me here at 1130 PM. I was in no mood to play songs at that point even if I had the time available to do so. The meetup played out without surprises, but one thing did strike ...
Long day. Spent too much time on bullshit afterwards. Song session was predictably bad. Nice to end on something easy. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" denotes Random chart modifier. Retail. It's easy to be injured in this line of work, if you're caught in the wrong place and not paying attention. The cart corrals which we have are not fixed into the ground and can move easily with enough force. I was standing before the end of one corral in my task as leading the line when the driver of the machine ran into the opposite side. This forced the side of the corral into my thigh with a sudden thrust, and is still sensitive to the touch. No bruising or bleeding. The remarkable thing ...
The punch line to this year long joke has been delivered today. Carts. I've said how many times that the store needs more. I've mentioned how many times that supposedly more are on the way. The news I discover today is that the order of carts - needed since the replacement occurred in June of 2011 and placed at the end of September - has indeed arrived as intended. The joke is that we've been deficient on carts not specifically by ignorance, but because of something the former store ...
