I got a barb to 60. With a HF ring and a Cain's set, it didn't take long at all. I was antsy to get to that point because I had some purchases made which I wanted to equip, and to see if I could come up with a different kind of build. A spot of snow came while I was outside on work. The temperature is still around the 35 degree range, so nothing is staying for long, which is fine with me. The only negative is that the snow tends to soak into clothing and gloves, so it's another new pair of shoes for me as I won't tolerate working in soaking feet while it's near freezing outside.

I need to resume tax work.

One of the not-fun things to try to edit in the new style IRS PDFs are tables, in that they handle like table objects in something like Microsoft Word or the like, which means that it becomes a pain in the ass in a hurry if you want to try to do things like merge or split columns or cells and such. I don't think LiveCycle permits the merge of single cells within a given column. Figuring out how to remove, edit, and replace a table took the majority of my time yesterday but I have it resolved now. ...

Oh blessed be, the 2012 1040 is up. Thankfully, the IRS has also brought this form into the present era of PDF design, which means that it will be much easier to modify as I need it to as well as consume much less space within revisions. The fact that I should never have to restart the form once I'm done modifying it the first time is one of the greatest aspects to the whole thing, not to mention that saving the document each time until then won't grind my machine to a halt. The highlights of today is that I obtained pizza for dinner and delivered a package of my uncle's gift, because it was forgotten to be picked up by my aunt in his absence after I brought it to the family gathering on christmas eve.

The original plan was to see The Hobbit tomorrow midday to catch a matinee time, but we had the time available for it tonight so we elected to see it sooner. My wife felt rushed, as she likes to settle in earlier to ensure a proper seating location and because she likes watching the full amount of previews for whatever reason. Another call off from work today after slogging through the weekend. I started yesterday at 99.6 and finished the work shift at 100.2. A new reading this morning was at 102, so I was prompted to stay home.

Called off of work today. I'm not happy about it, but if I'm going to be at sub-optimal health, it's probably better to get rest for the first day of a series of scheduled work rather than exacerbate any potential problems. Most of the day was subsequently spent sleeping. We purchased a thermometer and my readings were consistently around 96 degrees, which is odd.

Spending hours confined to a household with five children, the eldest of whom is 7, is not an ideal way to pass an evening if you have any intent of not obtaining a headache.

The contemporary trend as far as family gatherings go for Christmas Eve is that we all return to my parent's place after the larger gathering at my uncle's place which is roughly a two hour drive away from where I live. This means that after doing the day's work at retail, driving out, driving back, finally returns me here at 1130 PM. I was in no mood to play songs at that point even if I had the time available to do so.

Retail. It's easy to be injured in this line of work, if you're caught in the wrong place and not paying attention. The cart corrals which we have are not fixed into the ground and can move easily with enough force. I was standing before the end of one corral in my task as leading the line when the driver of the machine ran into the opposite side.
