I started my exercise at midnight today, and I didn't end Densha De Go Final timely, because it kept going and going even though I thought I had reached an end of a route. That led to me having to shower at 1AM, and being in bed by about 140AM after giving myself a minute to dry off. As such, I feel pretty strung out today.

Word is spreading around the store that I'm moving up from pushing carts. Two of my coworkers are eyeing my schedule and both have stated interest in taking it ...

My hire date is October 15, or somewhere near that day in October, yet they decided to conduct my annual evaluation today. In my previous 90 day evaluation and the two other annual reviews, I received no shortage of praise, especially on the last one conducted, but was ultimately judged to be the standard "average" in the ultimate ranking that concludes the report. The Form 1120 consolidated test return has three errors that I need to correct, baesd on the last note that the IRS sent me. One is their insistence that a Form is there which it isn't, and that'll be easy enough to plainly state. Another said an item "should be blank", but the element wasn't in the XML data in the first place; regardless, I have come to find out that I can still have the data parse correctly without other elements in the Form, so I figured that if I show the Form having ...

The call to the IRS was averted today, as I had a mail from them waiting for me at the start of the day. It appears that most of the items which were marked as errors that I subsequently argued with evidence to the contrary were accepted, but there's still an insistence that there's a Form 4797 in the consolidated test return which I thought I had made previously clear that it was not present in the return.

I'll need to retire quickly tonight so that I can wake up earlier tomorrow; ...

Today's visit to the store took about an hour to finally have my transfer to my new job position to be made. Delays in processing took the majority of the time. Otherwise, the move gives me a forty cent raise and I get to keep my current availability intact, so that much is all a positive.

Before that all occurred, though, I had the unfortunate circumstance of my computer seeming to have been locked in some kind of standby mode from which it couldn't recover. I had to power the machine ...

Retail. It seems that my service in pushing carts is coming to an end. There were openings for Inventory Management before, but it didn't pan out as there was a conflict of the intended hours and what I had available. This time, though, there seems to be few other persons who expressed any interest in transferring there, so it seems that I will have that job now. There will be no interview, and the transfer would have happened today if not for the lack of speed on part of the company intranet and ...

Our guest has now left our company. I think she, my wife, and I all felt a tender sadness in knowing that we had an eventful and diverting week spent together, and in knowing it well could be a very long time that we see each other again, if ever at all. As it turns out, she did make good on her promise to leave some money under my wife's keyboard, so finding that surprise awaiting us (along with a kind parting note) put a bittersweet ending to the event. You'll be missed.

I'm wondering ...

Retail. Call off didn't help the load too much, and they did eventually send people out to help for a bit after I returned from my lunch, but honestly I think I would have been able to handle the duty without the assistance. I never had either door be fully depleted within the day. I guess the looming threat of cleaning house with the store manager change is making everyone even more nervous than normal, which is honestly difficult to do.

An early retirement today so that I can help ...

Retail work - the red tagged machine has now been fixed. This occurred today in the middle of my shift, and I immediately put it to good use. During the latter half of the day I was working with two other cart pushers, and neither of them worked with me or each other for a stretch of an hour. Rather than waste time to hunt them down, I quietly went about my work with the machine and got things done. The ability to do that without the stress of pushing by hand was very much welcome and appreciated. ...

Got home at 1130PM last night after a full day on the town, so that left me no time to play songs yesterday.

Not much of anything important happened today, but with company still over until Sunday I don't have time to do much else but give the song session report.

On that subject, today's was moderately better than the past three days.

Today was a good shopping day. We went to a few stores and malls and had much to look at, with some things to buy - some being more important (a new rice cooker) than others (fresh donuts).

Now to brace for how tomorrow shall play out.

As I write this I have to pet this cat who seems to be very starved for attention. It seems that having the house relatively alone to theirselves all day isn't enough for these things.

Did I mention it before? At my retail job, one of the coworkers who has injured himself on the job three times before is now on his fourth leave of absence. Same reason. This means that since the highest amount of staff a few months ago, there are three less coworkers, two of which won't be replaced because they're merely on leave as opposed to actually being terminated or having quit the job. Meanwhile, the machine which is red tagged due to the missing ground plug is still out of use. Oh well. ...

Back home safe and sound. All plans were fulfilled without incident. Our guest seems to have truly enjoyed the excursion. Here's hoping that sentiment continues for the rest of this week.

One small setback is a few detours encountered on the return trip, which means that more time was spent driving today than I would have liked. As a result, I'm squeezing this in at the last minute.

Suit picked up. Shopping done. Tickets printed. Hotel reservation printed.

We're all set to go. I'll wake up at 630AM tomorrow and from there we go.

Here's hoping I'm back to post again on Sunday.

Also, we attended a party that was for one of the people at work who is now a former coworker as she has now moved on to a better job. I think there was a definite exposure of unfiltered culture provided to our guest.
