I've been rather absent minded at work this week. It's very irritating, and I'm quite sure that there's a lot of aggravation and venting which I don't get to directly face and instead are directed towards the receptionists back at the hub, if at all. Some days I just won't be back until 1PM no matter what I do. Despite that, the work week wasn't too bad in considering that I didn't have any breakdown issues and only Monday's outbound volume was heavy. The rest of the week was pretty good.

If rumor becomes fact, I should finally have the initial additional stop on my route removed and have it restored to what it was originally designed to be months ago. Mom wants to talk with me about taking the Corvette out to the arcade on Sunday night. These are all things which have been discussed before, but I still have to answer her questions as to where this place is, if the neighborhood is safe, how far away it is, and so on. Let's just put this week in the past, shall we? Basically nothing happened which hasn't happened before, and most days were long. I'm flat out exhausted.

Wednesday, I go to start my day and begin by pulling the tractor out from the parking space and find that I can barely nudge the steering wheel, as if it had no power steering enabled. It's at the start of the shift, so the quick remedy is to switch to another unit and have it called in. It's back and ready the next day, and I use it for the route and it's fine. Every day of work this week I was at least forty minutes late at the start of the route. If what I heard from another driver is to be believed, the entire reason for the delay is due to one of the distributing part plants which we serve. Allegedly, they somehow blundered scheduling to an extent that fourteen (out of how many, I don't know) employees who do the work of compiling the outbound freight were granted vacation at the same time. The biggest disappointment about this beyond that factor alone ...

I wonder what percentage of pet owners enjoy or even actively seek to have their pets sleep in the bed with them as they rest. More than a third? Half? If anything, maybe this percentage would be higher specifically to cat owners. We have two cats here and when it comes time for me to sleep during work days, my wife will both join me for a bit as well as try to have a cat join us to help with the relaxation process and such. Not too long ago, the True Mastermind Edition upgrade for Time Crisis 5 started trickling out to select areas. Now it has been released worldwide. The kit comes with 2 pop cards labeled "New Stages! The Complete Edition!" & "Mastermind Edition Released!' for operators to hang on the cabinet. Look for a new title screen which also features Wild Dog & Wild Fang instead of just Luke & Marc. Upgrading the game is as simple as plugging in a USB jump drive.

Having a Monday off gives me a direct benefit to two weeks, in that it ends one week with a nice three day respite, and it starts the next one with one day out of five already in the past. I may have had to use a different tractor two days out of the week, and the normal one which I use might be going right back into the shop after today due to the engine light coming back on again despite being in maintenance for two days, but I still feel much less drained on this Saturday than I have many others. ...

One of the stops which was removed from my route was silently returned to me at the start of this week, and the reason for that is because the parts plant is dragging its heels on getting the stop transferred from one shuttle to another. Hi. It's patch week. There's some FF14 live event stream bullshit going on right now for which I have to see how it will affect anything I do. Work is good, song sessions went from not-good to good in a steady upward trend this week. The change to my work route is very much to my benefit in terms of time spent, and I should see next week's paycheck first before fully confirming that I break even in terms of earnings otherwise. I believe it's the case, but I don't want to crow about it until I know for sure. Regardless, the changes make the route much more tolerable. I lose four stops and $20 per day in earnings. My work route has been adjusted, with the changes in effect starting next week. The first four stops are removed, and I must run the route in the sequential order as set by the parent corporation rather than the adjusted method which had been done before. I have just returned from my niece's birthday party. She will be 2 years old tomorrow. In terms of attendants and scope, it was a much more reduced affair compared to last year, and that's a difference which I personally welcome at least. I found an etsy site to get her a pair of hand made crochet dolls from the show Peg + Cat, and I think she might like them OK. She definitely loves Thomas the Tank Engine more at the moment. It's good to see her happy.
