Just to bring up news from the retail front. Last week, I was introduced to the newest hire for the cartmen staff. The next time he and I would be scheduled together was last Monday, but because he has to do the standardized training, I wouldn't have been able to work with him until today. As it turns out, that didn't happen, because he reported to the store today to announce that he has quit the job. Last night was the night at the end of the work week for me, so I had some Black Label and played Diablo 3. I played for 90 minutes or so and had a few shots of the stuff, and only had a big mug of water to drink otherwise. I've developed some sort of sore on the right side of my neck. The sensation makes it feel like bad sunburn but upon closer inspection, the skin has a more concentrated and limited area of inflammation compared to a normal sunburn. I've felt it irritate me for the last few days but only took the time to inspect it further today.

So after a few days of being a fence riding pussy, I decided to indulge and try some Johnnie Walker Black Label. I'm quite pleased with the drink, but I don't intend or desire to make it a regular recurring purchase. I'm not in a station of life where I can justify getting $30 bottles of booze for my own regular consumption. That's not a habit I need to foster at this time.

It appears that the tab stops are not preserved when I write them out in the text file and subsequently post it here. I suppose I could solve that by putting the drafts into a separate code box, but then I'd probably have to put in artificial line breaks, lest the code box have a horizontal scroll bar which would require effort to move from one end to the other. That doesn't seem worth it to me.

I trust that if any of you have a problem with what I'm writing or how I'm presenting ...

The caulk gun I purchased was some cheap piece of crap that managed to get itself bent into an unusuable condition when I loaded the silicone canister and attempted to start to use it. I suppose it's just as well since I didn't have any of the trash cleaned out of the cracks and would have needed to do that first.

Tomorrow, I need to buy a tube of silicon caulk and a gun to shoot it so that I can do some detailing around parts of the outside, so that I can seal off cracks where seeds can creep into and begin to sprout plants. Tomorrow, I also need to take the time to pay all the utility bills and write a check for the CC payment. Speaking of the CC bill, I wonder when I'll get back to playing Akai Katana.

I think what I'm going to try to write here, for no other reason than to pad out the preview space so that the damnable Code box doesn't creep into view, is to try writing out bits of my fictional collaboration story. Maybe in doing this I won't feel like I never make an effort to continue at it and do something with the purpose of having it done quick so that I can get it into the open and in view, and know what to revise later on when I put things in.
