Still no IRS response - this is three days, now. I don't know if I should expect good news or bad for it being this long of a delay. Meanwhile, I have begun with the Regex development phase for my next set of forms, so hopefully soon I'll be testing that batch out.

Winter temperatures have finally arrived here. We have been spoiled this year. Doesn't change the fact that despite currently wearing three layers of clothing on my upper body, my fingers still feel very cold. I get that it is winter and that winter is cold but come on already; my skin shouldn't feel so frigid with this much on.

Feel like crap. Dinner doesn't seem to be sitting very well, and I feel like I have acid or gas buildup which won't go away. IRS response did come and I still have three returns with errors. The person said that he anticiaptes me passing the full regiment soon, which I think is about as encouraging as I could ask for, but I still feel like crap about it. Let's see if I can whine more in the next hour or so.

IRS response has come and the result is - not very good. Granted, there were more returns which I did correctly than didn't, and a few of the issues raised was over a few dollars because of a difference in determining tax liability (schedule versus tables), but I can't help but feel disappointed in the first result. I will rectify the errors over the course of the night but I can't say I'm thrilled at not having as much confidence in my product as I would have originally perceived.

Paid a visit to Half Price Books today. Slim pickings this time around, which is the first time that I had experienced it from the store. Called the IRS and finally got that ball rolling again; hopefully they respond early tomorrow as he stated today. State e-filing is proving to be much more difficult.

Feeling lethargic otherwise. Let's go.

Flushed the first ...

Worked on setting up the 1065 Schedule K1 yesterday for XML output, and the way the IRS formatted the original PDF was different than usual, because opening it with LiveCycle would crash the program. Same for 2010's version of the form. I use programs to split up and merge PDF files, primarily on these forms in order to remove excess instruction pages and add blank pages where I add my necessary fields. It's a good thing I did that this time, because that's the only way I was able to open the form ...
