This has been a full day.

Still out an hour late, but only end up a half hour behind intended schedule at the end of the route. I was able to reach all the important stops in a timely manner. At the start of the day, the night dispatcher asked if I wanted to do any extra work. To my recollection, I did not completely affirm in the positive and said that I would make a determination at the end of the day on the basis of how the day goes. Just as I'm about to leave the dispatch office ...

Maybe some day I'll actually have a career paying job where I'm not exposed to the elements. I do not look forward to Fall. Also, having a job where my performance doesn't directly depend on others would be nice too, but I think just writing that sentence out makes it plain for me to see that it is something of an impossibility. No man is an island, and fewer are paid for attempting to emulate as such.

Another weekend off in Rifts. Oh well. I guess it might become more of a problem once I have all character classes raised and at "entry level max" (as in, baseline sets with half decent rolls for a functional build of some kind). My implicit overall goal is to have one usable character of each class - with the intent of being to play any class needed to compliment a group as well as have a way for up to four people to play the game locally. Today was better at work. Back in plenty of time to do an extra assignment. The twist there is that rather than it being a traditional shuttle run, I was sent to go to a stop to pick up some returns that haven't been obtained from a dealership throughout the week - and this particular dealership is one of the two locations which are normally on my route, and aren't during this particular week. Nobody seems to have a good answer as to why they weren't picked up as usual during the normal route run. ...

We use trailers with lift gates, as would be somewhat expected in the business of shipping and receiving car parts. The lift gates have a latch within them that are intended to be used while the trailer is being unused and standing in a lot. Most people don't bother, but some do - and the problem comes when the latch needs to be struck with something like a hammer to liberate the pin. After spending money on one handed sledgehammers twice, I've learned to incorporate an inspection into my routine ...

Labor Day weekend is the perfect frame for a Diablo 3 binge. 4 70 Wizards, 4 70 WDs, 4 70 DHs. Main Wiz at 910K sheet, Main WD at 800K+, and just started the DH who's at 770K. I feel like I've made considerable progress given the relatively little time that I've played 0the game.

Today's work run was very sluggish, all due to circumstances beyond my control. Upon arrival to the hub at the start, I had to manually unload some returns out of a trailer because there were no fully empty ...

Despite the perceptible increase of work volume to handle today, my timing on the route was ultimately the same, and would have been better if it weren't for a few setbacks (like a twenty minute train delay). Later on I took up some additional work, and that was prolonged due to a truck item malfunction which I had to take the time to resolve. Honestly, it is extremely lucky and beneficial for that to have happened to me at that point, being it both after my route and while people were around to ...

Today has been definitely better than yesterday and honestly many previous days outright.

Done with the route in record time, home to play some Diablo with my wife and get the Thunderfury drop, and now I have a pretty decent play of a few songs.

Out of the gate one hour sooner, as would be expected by the hour advance shift in everything before going to work. Yet I still managed to be done later today then yesterday. Funny how having a lot of engines on return will change things. At the end of the day, I was summoned for a talk with the boss and they've decided that as early as this Friday they may have my first two stops be temporarily handled by someone else. My pay rate wouldn't change during this period. I was told to not take it personally, ...

The intended dispatch time is 130AM. The usual time I would get out at latest is 230AM. Today, I've come to find out that one of the two loaders who usually works my route first is absent today and possibly this week. I left the hub at 330AM.

I need to wake up at 9PM instead of 10PM to get there an hour earlier, for this week if not always hereafter. Swell.

The D3 ROS bender has come and gone, and all I got are some not lousy legendaries to start the ball rolling. Hooray.

Bless my wife, for she had to deal with her friend's child more than I did this time. About twice as much, really, considering that I was at work all of Saturday midday. The situation will not be improved in October, nor, as current trends with him continue to hold, in general.

The rain that was supposed to be falling yesterday came today. The cargo which didn't get shipped yesterday got shipped today. Yesterday I was back to the hub at 9AM. Today, it was 1230PM. The torrent of rain came at the first stop of my day, which is where I had the highest quantity of goods to move, so I got thoroughly soaked at the start and remained drenched through the rest of the day. Supposedly, more rain may come around tonight.

We have company coming in this weekend. ...

Today's route run was the lightest that I've ever had so far. The timing of events throughout the day was very strange as I was reaching places in darkness that I normally see in sunrise, and not seeing nearly as much traffic on some stretches of the path. There were patches of rain in the morning, though, and trying to navigate a truck and 45' trailer using only the reflection of light off of the wet pavement while the defroster doesn't work to remove any of the fog is a trying experience. In bed at 530PM yesterday when it's usually 4PM, as it is now. Why? The game. Oh, the game. I'm very displeased. Very displeased.

Up and at work, on the way out, and I find out that the truck I was driving is elsewhere. I get to the one that I'm assigned and come to find out it's almost out of gas. Do the preload and gas up.
