On a global scale, this week sure did suck, didn't it.

My personal work week wasn't too great either, but that's mostly just due to work volume. There were no catastrophes to speak of, so relatively I honestly don't have much to complain about there.

For the sake of something frivolous to talk about, I finished doing something today which has actually made my home IIDX sessions immediately better. Long story short, I have completed the replacement of the switches and springs in my controller to exactly match that which is used in the machine at the arcade. The change has made the resistance to pushing the key substantially reduced, and the difference could not be understated. My hands feel less fatigued after each song, scales and jacks flow easier, it's blissful. One unexpected improvement is that my keys all now light up properly as well. This is something that I wasn't expecting, and I had previously chalked up the mislighting as an issue with loose LEDs or housings and didn't think much of it after a while since it doesn't affect play. How wonderful it is to see the keys all properly respond again. It's almost like I had just purchaed a new table.

On the subject of home sessions, I resolved to get baseline plays of all the Pendual songs which I have acquired just to have something expedient to do during the week. On that subject, Extra Mode notes on the Pendual charts are pure pain. Yeesh. Anyway, with that out of the way and the key replacements done, I have much to look forward to in the near term future. Though, the next thing I need to do is clean up my folders, it seems I have a lot of duplicate songs yet again...
