I didn't really want it, but my mom talked me into it. I was also swayed by the fact that it looked like me.

(I decided to name her "Abigail" so that I could call her Abby, and tell people "I have a daughter named Abby, and a cat named Abby" and I laughed about it in my dream).

So, I put her to sleep in a crib in a basement. It was a live-in basement, but still dark and lonely. I spent the entire day upstairs at some family reunion, and then 10 hours later I realized the kid was still down there, in complete darkness. I though "it's been sleeping this whole time? No, wait, they don't sleep that long, it's probably in terrible condition, maybe dead!"

So I rushed down there, and the kid was stiring and then stood up to look at me, it had suddenly aged 4-5 years. It spoke to me, like "yeah you left me down here." The mood changed from me talking to "my child" to me talking to a younger version of myself.


After bringing her upstairs to be around the family, it didn't take long for me to start correcting her behavior. Scolding her a bit. Then the dream ended.

Some might see this as a subconscious longing to mother, but that isn't what the dream is about. This is your typical "neglect" dream, that often occures when you're neglecting some aspect of your life. Normally these neglect dreams feature academics or pets, but in this case it was a child, a representation of myself. The dream shows there is some awareness of my behavior, because I scolded myself.

We share the same slopping nose, weak chin, and slightly bulgy eyes. I believe Gene Wilder had a son put up for adoption, and that son is my father. I wish Mr. Wilder were my father, but I will settle for grandpa. I only have a handful of close friends, and I really wish I lived by them still. One of the shows I watched as a kid with great enthusiasm, I couldn't help but be strangely attracted to Bill, even as a...7 year old? BILL BILL BILL BILL! So....smart.

Anyway, I was reminded of Bill Nye after watching this video of Head Rush, a new show being hosted by the hot redhead from Mythbusters; Kari Byron. The show is aimed at kids, but I'm going to try to catch it on the air. I hope there is still enough curiosity or general thirst for knowledge in today’s youth that they might find these kinds of shows interesting.

This pretty much summed it up today on why we don't like the new nintendo games. "Because it's like press the up arrow, plus m, x, z, r, left arrow twice, and forward, okay that's how you walk!!!" LOL! My thoughts exactly!
dude i dont understand any of those video games they are all like that i feel like the buttons need to be labled "walk" "run" "punch" sooo much eaisier lol
that is a brilliant idea, let's do it!
haha there s gonna be some outrageous ones like "turn right" and "kick up... in the air" hahaha its gonna be bomb!

I guess it's a nice place for rambling about things that we don't have a thread for.

Today is my first official day at my new job as a "non-trainee." I miss the kitten lifestyle, I should have appreciated it more. With an hour commute up and back, my work days usually consume 11 hours. Maybe after a few months I'll request fewer hours, because this schedule hasn't left much time open for anything else.


I look forward to getting the whole "TNL 4.1" experience once everything is ironed out and all the features are in place.
