Hello, new roof. Goodbye, five thousand dollars. It was due, and hopefully getting it done now will circumvent any real damage from ever coming in. Here's hoping that the job is actually completed before something catastrophic does actually come. I managed to find some time to associate with another human being in the course of my free time on the day before. It was a refreshing experience. Since we were there last, the arcade has had yet anoter room open up. I was able to play Warzard ...
On the second day off of work this week I took a moment to review some past entries here, both in recent weeks and years past. I seem to be complaining about my physical status rather frequently lately. The start of this week didn't help matters with my right shoulder getting a pinch towards the end of the day as I struggled with closing a container door. I guess I need to accept this as part of normal operation for the moment. Meanwhile, I decided to take both days off in light of the forecast, ...
Hi, Raquel. Saturday morning's work day ended with a fun task. The trailer I brought into the rail yard had lettering which didn't match the identification it was given on the internal billing statement. In order for me to be allowed to park the trailer there, I had to take a marker to put the correct letters on there as well as find a way to conceal the original incorrect letters. Despite dropping the trailer and pulling around to have the noses as close to each other as possible, ...
This week's non-work days was a manifesto in completely awful time management. My parents gave a pair of tickets for my wife and I to see a local theater production. Scheduled at 8PM. We went and it was enjoyable enough, despite the sometimes extremely loud volume of audio and brightness of some strobe flashes, not to mention the drunken family seated behind us who refused to stop saying the first thing that entered their addled minds at every putrid breath. To do something interesting while in ...
She's at a birthday party now. It will be strange to eat dinner before work and not have her be here. I drove by the old home today. It's still serving its original function. Prokop's is a tax preparation place now. I didn't have much else to go on because I came up to it by an approach which wasn't how we came there years ago, so there's barely much of anything that I can remember, but it still seems like so much has been wiped out. This week would have worked out ...
11 months to go until 2018. Say it ain't so, Joe. He's made some new stuff recently, so why aren't they playing that? Does it not fit the format? Oh well. Plans were made for my parents and my wife and I to have a postponed celebratory dinner occur this previous Tuesday. It happened, but not without more personal annoyance with how my body wants to sleep lately. I had more written here but that's the gist of it. Songs. The arcade trip this week was at ...
Friday. It is done. I'm a few thousand lighter and now have the thirty year yoke on my shoulders. It only took this long for me to finally make this bold step into a milestone which my parents did ten years earlier in their lives than I am now. Success. I arranged to have today off from work, and that has definitely shown to pay off. I barely slept after getting home from work, and spent at least an hour in bed fidgeting and scratching in restlessness until I gave up and got about the rest of my ...
Why did she so desperately need to know who set the date? Really? Surely I wouldn't have done something like set a date without asking them when a good time would be, if I were to have a choice. She should realize that, right? And let's say I did do that - ultimately, so what? So the date is bad and it gets rescheduled just as it has been. Great. Now what? What does knowing help here? Safety meetings bring out great feelings in the job, certainly none which I already carry on my head ...
Hey you. Thanks for the help. Really. Just having normal work days come and go as they have been would have been too much to ask for today, yes, I see that now. Thank you so very much. Now I have the rest of the day to look forward to with an attempt at sleeping between it. Now I have to have her be all over concerned because I won't be able to sugar coat it and smile beyond it. Thanks. Really. It's all that I wanted. Hey you. If the file has something you can't use, then don't use ...
Work for New Year's Eve was given on an on-call basis, and I had the fortune to not be one of the people called in that evening. I think the shift started and ended early so it really wouldn't have impacted any kind of plans I would have potentially had, but it was still nice to have the reprieve. Nobody decided to mention on that call or any point prior that there wasn't going to be a work shift on New Year's day regardless. I didn't find out until I arrived to the garage and made some calls. Thanks ...
Fuck 2017. Just getting that out now, because why not. Anyway, here we are. I guess all I can reasonably hope for on a personal level is for things to continue into this year as they have proceeded in the past half. I'm still out of the house at least 65 hours per week, but I still think I'm in a better place now than any other time in this field beforehand. To think of what I'd even be saying now if I were with those people in the Zoo. Or even still with the Daily, for that matter. ...
Christmas Eve went well, in that I was able to actually attend the gathering. I think the gift was met with genuine appreciation. Good. Jonnie's Grill was a post game highlight. Speaking of games, the arcade session this past week was finally not horrible. At last. Who knew that I just needed to stop playing Step Up. I'm at the deadline here though so that's about all I have time to say for now. Merry Christmas. Lunar Beat. Extra Mode. Double play. "@" ...
Christmas gifts in, Christmas cards out (and a few of those received too), cold temperatures in, snow out (and that all flips this coming weekend I guess), and so on. Nothing surprising there on any front. Rather than try to continue playing Atelier Elie, I decided to start up a game of Black/Matrix +. I never finished this PS1 take of the game, and after hearing some of the soundtrack while on the job lately it compelled me to start that up while it's fresh in the mind. The very ...
Poor weather promises to come tonight, and the radar shows the badness coming. I hope they're going to be OK with me moving three trailers in the course of the night, unless conditions permit otherwise. Meanwhile, I'm in a hurry to post here as usual. I need to check on something about my wife's medical insurance, with a complication arising from my insurance soon to be covering her. It'll be a very good thing to have that resolved. Christmas shopping annoyance is basically over in ...
Rather than try to correct myself to my old time patterns of sleep, I stuck with the change throughout this week. This means that when I get home from work, I immediately brush my teeth and go to bed. The results are pretty welcome. I don't wake up to an alarm, I get more sleep if I need it, I don't spend more time doing nothing with looking at bullshit online, and I have more time available to do things in the day if I need to, such as communicate with businesses. Doing this has turned out to be ...
