• First Look: Super SFIV 3DS U.S. Commercial

        Featuring the new Slim Shady.

Thanks to Capcom Unity, you don't need to sit through every commercial break hoping to catch a glimpse of Super SFIV 3DS on television. The 30-second spot showcases the portable edition in action.

Members of the fighting game community will also recognize a famliar voice -- RedRapper, recently known for his past cameo appearance in the Evolution 2010 World Finals. Glad to see his talents and hard work paying off. I am also loving the collaborative efforts between developers and the community is starting to become more common. More please.

Check out the video footage below and look forward to our hands-on review later this month. More of RedRapper's work can be found on his official Youtube page.

I'm really surprised they used such a prominent 3rd person game to promote their new handheld. I need my SF games to be social. Playing it on a handheld might be a fun tryst, but overall the experience is better serve on a big screen with a fight stick and a bunch of great friends.

I don't really care about the 3d gimmick, but I'm happy to get a competent portable fighting game for once. I just hope that it doesn't control like ass on the 3DS.

I'll keep my DSlite for my GBA games, but this will most likely sell me on the 3DS. Having that nub is gunna make 360s fun, I just have to remember not to throw the thing when I lose...

          You're doing it wrong.

Any extras going on in the game, like bonus modes or challenges or anything like that? SNK vs Capcom NGPC was crazy good outside of the regular fight-mans modes, and it was nice to chill out with a bit.

Technically this sentence is correct, but I have no idea what it's trying to say.

Aren't most/all of the 3DS games so far from a 3rd person perspective?

It's considered boorish to game in the third person.

I don't find it that surprising really. SSFIV keeps the player's eyes focused on the characters, which are at a fixed depth. That should make it easy to show off the effect without stressing the eyeballs.
Besides, playing a first person game in 3D would make japanese people shit themselves to death.

By the way, Amazon has a $10 credit for preordering this. Good for Prime members or if you use free shipping, but regular shipping prices eat up the savings.
