Windy Tales is becoming depressingly difficult to find. I hate that it was never licensed. I would pay real money for it and track down a player if they released it on vinyl video discs.

Aw, man, that's disappointing. I was really looking forward to that one.

I haven't bought many games still, so having it as my "favorite" doesn't mean much.

I'd say it might be worth picking up for cheap, but probably not at $30. It seems really great at first, but the more you play, the more you realize it's all kinda half-baked.

Compass, is Doctor Lautrec worth getting? I saw you had it as your favorite game for a while. I almost bought it today, but the Gamestop clerk started speaking badly about Final Fantasy XII and i really had to leave.

The second episode was touching! It takes me a long time to watch series, though. I rarely do more than one episode a day (unless it's a re-watch). So it will be a while before I finish. Regardless, thanks for the tip.

It reminds me of Mokke and Kamichu! Both are pretty good if you're looking for something to fill the void between new episodes.

I watched ALL OF IT in the past week! 39 episodes! And the new season is just starting! It doesn't get old, either! I think the 2nd season was the best so far, but the 3rd was still really good. In less competent hands, it would turn into yokai of the week, but the stories are always wonderful.
There were a few things i didn't like in the 1st season, mainly the animation being just bad at some points and his two best friend characters. From the beginning of the 2nd season the animation gets a lot better. There's one episode where the animation director gets all stylized and it just looks amazing. The two friend characters are redeemed MUCH later, when they're fleshed out a little beyond "zany best friends".

I hope you like it. The first season is good enough, but it gets better with the 2nd season. I'm happy it's still going, i hope it lasts a while.

Compass, did you ever see the anime Natsume Yujin-cho? I never heard about it until i saw Nippon Ichi had it. I thought they were releasing some Natsume game. Then i saw this fat cat:


and i really wanted to watch it. The first episode was good, but the second one was SOOOO good. It has the potential to be Ano Hana level. It's not over yet, but it's been going on for a few years already. There are 3 13-episode seasons already, with a 4th on the way.

Hi Finch. Thank you for the SwapNote pictures. The recent Midna one was kawaii indeed. Your characters always have a unique Finchiness about them -- I think in the eyes and mouths mostly -- that makes the source immediately identifiable. Good on ya.
