cool story bro - Chapter I

Rate this Entry
One of the houses I lived at as a child had a driveway which had a pair of shrubs lining the sides. They were mostly a slender rectangular shape of a few feet in height and length with a slimmer width. These kind of bushes turned out to be great places for bees and wasps to build nests.

So I was like 8 or 9 at the time and was playing out in the front yard where the bushes are and there's a nest in the bush which would be on your right side if you were to pull into the driveway. Despite my usual desire to be nowhere near bees and the fact that I knew that the nest was there I still remained in the yard.

At some point I remember hearing a bee fly right next to my right ear so I reflexively pinched my shoulder inward to keep the bee from flying by my head. When I relaxed my shoulder I saw the white bee fall limply from my shoulder to the grass. It turns out that I managed to press my head against my shoulder right as the bee was flying there and crushed him in the pinch and killed him.

Serves the fucker right.
