It turns out that there was a revision to the IRS 1040 XML schema on December 30 that I didn't become aware of until today. I made the call and, as I suspected, the initial response which I had mentioned as being wrong was marked as a closed case in their system. Thankfully, their response to the call I made today in an email came later today, so that was very much appreciated. The revision did seem to fix my problem as well; I resent the submission which gave an error last time and sure enough, it was accepted as it stood without any further revision. The email has been sent to the IRS today for them to officially review this year's test submissions. Let's hope this gets resolved sooner.

I didn't test the sump pump out today, but as the air temperature has remained mostly unchanged, I'm assuming that it will still be blocked.

Songs went mostly well today. There weren't a lot of records and it took me a bit longer to get into a good physical state today than yesterday, but many of my plays were rather close to records and my overal feeling was as good as it was yesterday. I'm especially happy for my play of Toy Cube, as that's something which easily could be mutilated by a bad random and I recall playing it horribly before, but today was just shy of the record and it's a song I enjoy playing.
