She's going to quit the job.

Probably not in two weeks, as I would have liked; and while three weeks wasn't officially agreed on - as I had voiced my disagreement with allowing that much time, and she conceded that she may change her mind tomorrow - the agreement was otherwise made that it will be in the short term future. The start of March at latest or so. Listen. She comes home in physical pain every time she works. The pain is in her hands, because of all the counting that she does. She's an artist. She draws. And she has spent every night for months going to bed with wearing two wrist braces on her hands, otherwise she feels the pain in them too much to be able to sleep through the night. She does her job the same way as she's done for decades now, and the newest people who she has trained now actively chide her for not being fast enough. The managers above her don't take any particular note of the effort which she puts in that the others don't. The supervisors below her are now starting to join in the chiding that her coworkers do. So here's this job which still doesn't pay her $15 per hour after decades of work, that makes her physically suffer throughout the day, and nobody above her cares about the quality of her work, and everyone at her level or below her is now belittling her for the quality of her work. It's time to go.

She earns more money than I do. We have no new job in line, no prospects to move on, no assurance of any kind that her income will be easily replaced once she's out. But it can't continue like this.

I'll continue doing my side project for the attorney, even though I pretty much know how it's going to play out by this point; by which I mean my idea will be discarded and I will be one of the temps hired on for the data entry process once that begins sometime after July of this year, at earliest. Otherwise I need to keep focus on my work and now accommodate for helping her find her own.

Songs. It looks like I was ready to have a strong showing once I had gotten to the middle, but that fizzled out as quickly as it came up. The refresh rate for R8U's chart scrolling is odd (a similar plight affects the other dojin song Betlegeuese) so perhaps the reason that I played it so poorly the first time was not being able to properly adjust for the "stutter". I guess things could have went worse overall but I'm only disappointed because that and Haritsuya were such strong plays.
