Going through these employment emails is an all too quick descent into depression. The only thing that these automated responses feel comfortable in throwing at me is entry level stuff which pays less than what I earn now doing the same kind of job that I do now at the retail store, or is for OTR trucking. I click over on one of the CDL carriers and their profiled new hire employees are people who lament that "they hire the 30 year old first" and declare that they "don't fit into the corporate structure". Seriously, these are how these people are marketed. So is that me? Is this the way I am perceived by other employers? Am I now old and not an ideal fit for their corporate network? I grant that I'm not an A-Typical person, sure, fine, but I would hardly think that my manner and skill set puts me at a distinct distance from everyone else. But I say this while sitting here in the situation I am presently in now.

I need to get some work done today. I have cleaning that I need to do tomorrow. I know I could update the tax code page pretty easily, so perhaps that would be in order.

Songs. The majority of my day today was spent in trying to get the program to load with the 1800+ new folders that I acquired and expanded yesterday, and as I expected, it is giving me a huge problem. I had to move everything from the letter B down to the end of the alphabetical list until I could get the program to load, and doing that is the only way I could get the song loading log to generate so that I know what conflicts are already present and being worked around while the game loads. This means that from here on out, I'll have to move a handful of songs over every day until I can determine which of them are the ones that I can't have load without crashing the game. This is saddening because this means that I can't have a single new fresh directory of songs to play and work into the rotation after getting the initial records down. No, I'll have to let the directory sit and play the songs in them as they randomly come up, such as the very last song of today's session did. Oh well. Such is the price to be paid for using an unfinished program to try to juggle several thousand database records. Play today was pretty good, by the way.
