I signed up at one of those survey sites recently, figuring that it would give me something to do while I sit here during idle moments instead of endlessly poking message boards. After a few misfires and rejections for not meeting the criteria for having a survey completed (which is honestly a bit surprising - are general consumer surveys worth a damn if you're selective of who you poll?), I finished one survey today about various car insurance products. It took about 30 minutes to do in total and I earned 50 points for the completion of the survey. If I wanted to acquire something like a $10 Amazon gift card, I would need to exchange no less than 1100 points. At 30 minutes per survey, that would require 11 hours of work to earn enough points to exchange for $10 of Amazon credit. Now, I understand that the act of taking a survey is not the kind of labor which justifies substantial remuneration, but this rate of exchange hardly seems worthwhile. My expectations were low, yet they were still completely beyond what is actually offered. So much for that.

Meanwhile, I did have to call the IRS today to finally get the 1120 questionnaire sent to me. I'm not sure what they were waiting for but at least they got it sent to me before the contact called back, which happened in a timely manner today anyway. Now the party shall start.

Songs. I spent a lot of time working on the integration of the new songs and removing conflicts, and one good result of this besides having new songs to play is that it should take less time to get the initial load completed when I start the session. I used to let all the conflicts sit untouched because the game would boot regardless, and now with those removed, restarting the program after making adjustments actually takes very little time. There were several new songs to come around today, and I expect this trend to continue for some time to come. Wild Clown is back and I couldn't be happier. Otherwise, there were some good new records to come about anyway so I'm quite pleased with the results here.
