The road test for the employer was today. Shifting gears in a truck that I've never driven took some getting used to, and finding reverse seemed to be rather troublesome. I think I might have rubbed a curb on the right turn returning to the facility. I even stalled out once on the road, and I had a lot of starts from stops that rocked the hell out of the truck. Still, despite all of the problems, I managed to show enough competency at the task that they were willing to take me on to the next steps of orientation and training. This means that barring a massive calamity in the future, I now have my new job. My last day at retail is Friday the 27th and as long as their current persons in training finish their assignment in the projected time frame, the orientation starts the following Monday of the 30th.

In the process of doing the mandatory DOT physical and drug screening, I had to make a return trip to the facility because they forgot to administer some tests to evaluate spinal health the first time. In neither visit did I have to be subject to the turn-and-cough hernia test, which I find a bit puzzling as I always had to do that before.

Songs were decent today, if only because a lot of new charts came around. I'm pretty sure my play of QQQ this time was better than last time.
