It feels good to have a totally cleaned out mailbox.

The reading of Bushido by Inazo Mitobe is going by pretty quickly. I should be able to get it completed in a few days at most. It's rather frightening to see the how much his grasp of English far surpasses many native speakers today. It's also interesting how the book is structured to primarily draw parallels and amalgamate the perspective of bushido customs with that of other countries; these were things which were pointed out in 1900 and the book became popular in its time, so in that respect I find it regrettable that such insight didn't take a stronger foothold in common academic teaching in the States.

Song session felt like it went by pretty quickly. I had a hard crash with a song early on and I'm not sure if that impacted my perception a bit after it restarted but at least things didn't get too terribly off balance.
