This is a hell of a way to lead off the second half.

The storm weather that came through last night did indeed inflict some respectable damage all throughout the area. My new commute takes me twenty miles out, and throughout the entire trip there were random spots of uprooted trees, some of which landed on power lines or houses. There were many stoplights that were operating on flashing red only. The trip to and from work was painful today. Getting food for lunch was an ordeal as traffic was a mess and the first place I went to had its power out.

As for the job of doing the dock work, it's basically like FedEx was, except much less hectic and basically all focused on car parts. With everything being mostly plastic, there's not many situations which have strenuous lifting. I'm not particularly fond of the open ended nature to the task in terms of start and end times, though. Still, the alternative to me doing this is sitting at home with nothing to do and no paycheck to earn at all, and with the holiday taking up this Friday, I only have a few more days of this to endure. I'll live.

I expected songs to be worse today, and there were some inelegant plays, but a lot of new songs came up so that only means good things for now and in the future, as they'll be scores that I should easily beat when they come around again. I wouldn't have predicted that I'd have a lone new record with Black By X Crossfade.
