To Do. Dental appointment, resolve issue on pay check for missing pre load, pay cable bill because I couldn't do so while their system was down, cancel Zipbox payments.

I made a three hour extra route run today, and it was the first time that I had finally had a confluence of availability outside of the job as well as having the route not give me a ton of extra work on the day. The volume for the standard route was light and there was few returns. On the subject of the standard route, it was very bizarre to see a convoy of fifteen Corvettes suddenly all start driving at once from an offramp. It happened just as I was coming past them all. Great timing.

Did I mention the vehicle change at the job? I used to have a dual axle tractor, an old one. Eight hundred thousand miles on it. I wore the differential out to a mush, but it still functioned well. I now have a newer single axle machine, and while it is nice and is an improvement in a few important ways such as Doors Which Actually Fully Close and Defrost Heater Which Actually Distributes Hot Air And Defogs Window, it isn't without some issues which I am not too enthusiastic about enduring in the future. Chief among them is that with it being a single axle tractor, it is incredibly much more sensitive to bumps in the road and my body gets tossed much more now than before.

I think I'd have more to say but it's relatively late and there's a cat in my lap who is very much deprived of attention.

Songs. I made a point to play more often through the week and I find the difference in my enjoyment of the sessions immediately apparent. Despite being out of the house for fourteen hours today, I had a session to end the week which felt really good. There were some bad plays through the week, to be sure, but that's just something to look forward to improving upon with the next time.
