In a way, it can be said that the highlight of my week is that I managed to sleep a total of at least sixteen hours on Friday. I keep erratic hours overall and many days on which I work I tend to get a usual five hours or so, nothing too awful by any means but sparse enough that my body will want to periodically shut down and hibernate if I allow myself to languish in bed. There was no work to be done the midnight of New Year's Day, so I followed normal procedures and went to bed at a reasonable 5PM or so and didn't come back until 11AM the next morning. Then came time to rest yesterday at the normal 4PM to wake up at 10PM there. So that's what I did with my day off. Yes, this is all very fascinating, and exemplifies my work ethic.

GTA5 PS4 is done. We left behind all the superfluous stuff to do in the event that we buy the game later on, though at this rate I have to wonder if that's even necessary.

Sunday's arcade visit was nice. I ran into an old friend there yet again, and at least this time I knew to generally expect him around as opposed to it being a total surprise as it was the first time. The IIDX machine has been moved to an area just behind the glass panes at the entrance facing the mall interior, so I do feel a bit more exposed when I play now. At least there is only a few stragglers to come around during the hours that I'm there.

I wonder if this is going to become a problem soon. I've made my exercise visit to the parent's place today and when I mentioned that I wanted to get a comb and toothbrush to use while I'm there, my Mom had a response which indicated that she wasn't honestly expecting me to be coming there with such frequency into the indefinite future. Beforehand, of course, the statement given is "you can come here any time" and all the welcoming trifles, but apparently that's yet another invitation which is meant to be acknowledged but not acted upon. Or so I think. We'll see. All I know is that I'm in absolutely no hurry to spend another few hundred dollars on yet another piece of exercise equipment only to have it breakdown within two years.

Upon looking through the sessions, it would appear that this week was pretty good for songs, but it doesn't leave that impression on me as strongly as I felt I had played in prior weeks. Meh, all I know is that it definitely could have been and has been worse.
