What a week. Today had me done with the route by 1130AM when usual Saturdays will have be back by 830AM or so - among the issues I faced was the assigned tractor having a missing gladhand, the tractor I used yesterday not being serviced and now in a totally unusable state, and the only pallet jack which I could find (after wasting a half hour looking for it) required a solid minute of pumping just to lift an object barely above the ground. Compounding this latter issue was me having to take some engines back through the course of the day, one in particular which would not fit over any lifting device which I had access to at the point of acquisition. That particular stop took me ninety minutes to complete when it normally takes twenty. Speaking of yesterday's tractor, the one which I was in was usable to drive to the dock door and to the first stop, and after I was done with the delivery of the first stop, it wouldn't start up again. I had to get it jumped. It took two hours for the service van to arrive and by that point arrangements were made to have half of my remaining load be divided and handled by someone else who arrived to my location. By the time I left from that spot, it was 9AM, which is when I'm scheduled to be done for the day. I'm pretty sure I didn't return home earlier than 1PM any day this week. It's been very frustrating and exhausting. Yet somehow on the way home from the end of the day and writing about it now, most of my extreme anger (for lack of a better word, because it's not entirely accurate) about it has subsided.

A new Diablo 3 patch is out, and it seems to have landed with something of a thud, at least in comparison to the previous patch. This isn't surprising. I just felt like mentioning it for the sake of something else to talk about other than how exhausted I am by my job.

Song sessions for the week managed to stay basically strong as it was last week, though not quite as good in comparison to that. Interesting to see how scores went on the 15th, as that was a day that I dove in to play a bit without any warmup. On the subject of IIDX, I did manage to finally unlock some new clothing items for my Qpro avatar in Pendual, but it had the unintended consequence of essentially changing its gender. Long story short - the clothing items I acquired were from my defeating of a female opponent, so the game rewards you by granting to change to all of that person's clothing items; in this case, her cat paw stick and leapord spotted two piece bikini. Oh well, it's something other than the default. Now perhaps I should figure out how to find something a bit more androgynous at least...
